Simply untrue. Go look at the beaches in Southampton, or Cape Cod, or Martha’s Vineyard and they’re nothing like Lake Michigan. They’re usually wider, nicer sand, often have scenic cliffs or dunes in the background. The water itself is much nicer, with better waves. Again, I’m not knocking Lake Michigan beaches, but it’s really no comparison. Steak vs. hamburger.
Waves and surf are definitely something the ocean has over Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan has plenty of dunes and cliffs along the coast, though. I wouldn't say steak vs. hamburger. More like ribeye vs. strip.

You guys didn’t reach that point with Covid where you wake up someday and you’re not even thinking about it? Been like that for the last year for me.

Ever been to the Warren Dunes? Go there and I think you might find that.

Also Kohler has some really nice cliffs.

Sounds like you just need to explore more of Lake Michigan's shoreline.

The only thing that Lake Michigan can't compare to is wave size.

Your parents once showed you a photo of the ocean, and I’m the one who needs to get out more? I can name dozens of ocean beaches I’ve been to that are far nicer than any lake beach. And that’s not even getting into the difference in sand, size, waves, or that swimming in fresh water is gross. Find any travel magazine’s list of nicest beaches in America, and tell me how many of them are lake beaches.

I hate salt water bro. I'm autistic it's a sensory nightmare.

Not a beach person either. I hate sand and the smaller beaches of Lake Michigan are preferable to me.

Why is swimming in fresh water gross?
I find swimming in salt water gross.

Love seeing Musk piss away 44 billion dollars.

And Twitter is estimated to lose a billion each year due to the debt. Hell, probably more because his loser ass is scaring advertisers away.

He will lose more money from the checkmark program and gutting staff/servers, simply because it's going to continue to scare advertisers who'd rather go elsewhere than deal with the clusterf*** that is new era Twitter.

Hope MyPillow pays well. That and cash 4 gold companies.

Supply and demand. Tight supply has been awful for over a year now and is getting worse. People are driving more than ever in the post-covid world. Refiners are more than happy to run their plants at 90% capacity or above to try and keep up and they're killing it with the current margins.

Most industry analysts feel that the winter will be particularly bad, more in the Northeast US but bad. Especially with heating oil and diesel. Diesel supply may see long term runouts in some places.

I've just never seen such massive fluctuations over such a short period of time.

And if this shit keeps up, maybe it's time to nationalize the fuel industry. It's out of control.

A lot of those fluctuations are more on local levels. Where I'm at (in the south) I don't see those kind of swings - the local retailers and distributors plus the local taxes determine a large chunk of the pricing. Unfortunately times are so volatile and supply so unreliable now this kind of thing may become more and more frequent.

I've been an industry analyst for a long time and a lot of what we're seeing is unprecedented.
