Sadly not, or at least not yet, but I'm excited for her anyway. Won't be our first time long distance.

How long is she going for? My buddy did that in South Korea for 2 years then China for a bit before getting a marketing gig in China. He really liked it there.

She's signed on for a year right now, but she's definitely interested in staying for longer if she gets the chance.

Well, the weekend in Virgina was rather awesome. A majority of it was spent intoxicated, which always makes things more exciting. Augie finished national runner-ups, the UW-Stevens Point team they played was just very good and they were hitting some shots. Our student section was incredible. Got told it was by far the best they've ever had there. Probably the beat road trip I've ever been on, easily.

Yes so I have been told, really glad this worked out because I was a little salty at first that my bros were gonna get to go to a game but I wasn't.

So, somehow I am in first place in my bracket challenge through the round of 32. still a ways to go, but I think I got lucky because a lot of people made some of the mistakes I did with the teams they had going deep. Would be cool to somehow pull it off, but I aint getting my hopes up with so much time left.

Welp, scratch that. I will not be able to go to the game this Friday. I have missed two workouts for football (one for being ill, one for being at the college game in Virginia), and if I miss another one I get suspended for one or two spring practices. Hello Major Buzzkill

My flight back home to Chicago tonight got canceled and the next flight is tomorrow night. On the plus side, I get an extra day in Florida. On the downside, I won't be getting paid for work tomorrow. **** you Chicago weather.

Very glad I wisely decided to take an extra day off to just lounge around at home versus going right back into work after my trip to Raleigh-Durham. Just being lazy and catching up on YouTube today.

Also, would definitely recommend that we add PNC Arena as a solid venue to invade en masse when the Hawks are in town. The Triangle's a great area to visit, and it's a nice barn to attend a game in, too. Third NHL game I've been to there and second Hawks game, and there's been a very nice-sized compliment of Hawks fans each time. Then again, the home team's also been on the bad side of things so local demand's low, so who knows what'll happen if they win McDavid?

Also, still disappointed that I couldn't buy a Whaler hat or shirt while there. I know that there's some bad blood between them and Hartford still, but I'm pretty sure that the trademark's in the NHL's hands now. That's just leaving money on the table, as I'm sure loads of visiting fans would buy up gear in a heartbeat.

Suffered a concussion this morning and also have to see the doctor next week because my trainer thinks I could potentially have a small tear in my rotator cuff. Really really hoping it's just a sprain.

How many is that now? You had one earlier in the fall right?

That's the third documented one I have, first one was heading into my junior year of high school and yes my second this year. This one was super weird, I had a hardcore case of déjà vu right after I took a knee to the head. I get déjà vu a decent amount, but not one like this that lasted so long. Not saying the concussion and that are related at all, it was just really reallt spooky. Luckily for this one my head doesn't really hurt that much, just a little loopy.

Be careful man. I've got a buddy who's had dozens and he'll get in the head and be alright and then wake up in a haze and stay that way for a few weeks.

We were doing agility drills in our morning conditioning, and as funny as this sounds, one of them is tag. There is a square and we have to stay in that and try to not get tagged for a period of time. Anyway, the person who was it was running at me and I tried to duck and took a knee right to the side of the head. Hurt like a real son of a *****.

And yes I will change it, time for a change anyway. Need to get to a computer, though.
