UIC ideally. IIT would be nice but it's kind of expensive. No real interest in Iowa or U of I. I'm too old for the "college life" and if I were to go there I'd pretty much have studying and corn to fill my time.

I'd like to go to University of Washington or somewhere in California too. But not sure how I feel about moving across the country and leaving my friends and family.

Just my unsolicited opinion but if you can get in u of I for engineering you should probably go there. Corn or not.

But the boredom!

It'll be tough to leave Chicago + Family and Friends. UIC and IIT are great engineering schools too.

The 12 1/2 hour drive to Virginia really wasn't too bad, though not sleeping was brutal. But got a nice hour and and a half nap in, getting some food now, get ready after, then time to start the tailgate!

Yeah I know central Illinois is a cornfield infested hell hole and everything but the concept of caring about being bored while willingly subjecting yourself to engineering classes is something my liberal arts brain can't comprehend.

There's nothing a girl digs more than hearing about vectors, tangent lines, and the IUPAC naming technique...

It's how I get all of my girlfriends

My girlfriend just got a job teaching abroad in China. I am freaking thrilled. She's worked hard for this and it's great to see that pay off.

If you're serious about California, you should look into San Diego State. Their out-of-state tuition is very reasonable. Plus it's San Diego.

How long is she going for? My buddy did that in South Korea for 2 years then China for a bit before getting a marketing gig in China. He really liked it there.

What a brutal work week, probably put in about 55 hours and will likely put in some time over the weekend.

They did a tap-takeover at a restaurant I worked at in Chicago. Some of the coolest people I've ever met. They do a lot of charity work too.
