Ron rage quit and tried to start his own site, which didn’t last long. Mittens is still here. Closer than you think in fact.

To set the record straight, I got bounced from this site...by one of the founders who I believe is now deceased. It was at that time I decided to start IceHockeyTalk, and it actually lasted a close to a couple of years. I remember I tracked two seasons of playoffs. A number of you came over but didn't stick around, and it never gained traction. I finally couldn't see sinking large amounts of money into server costs, so I finally shit-canned it.

And I joined you for the same reason. Power tripping admin is the bane of many things. I was a very regular poster and now only lurk after close to a five year sabbatical. There's a mod on this board that's no better than the founder you speak of.

Buffaloed was always cool to me, I was sad to hear of his passing. I knew him way back in the day when the HF boards was 1 board total and the chat room had about a dozen people in it. How times change.

He reversed an infraction and apologized to me when TonySCV gave me one this forum for talking about Mike Richards in the Mike Richards containment thread that Tony himself created for all MR talk. That was a hilarious overreach. Another funny one was when they wouldn’t let us talk about anything to do with sports betting, yet the GDT’s would have links to illegal streams and no one gave a crap.

I just don’t understand why if people don’t want to talk about something they can’t just choose to not click the thread.

It wasn't Buffaloed, although I heard he passed too somewhere on this site. I believe it was a female (sorry I don't recall her handle); maybe she wasn't the founder but she had been around since close to the inception of this site. I had put so much into this site at the time, so I appealed to her better side. No dice.

Nevertheless, it makes me sad that people pass away prematurely. I feel fortunate to be making it to the point that I just got my Medicare card. Yes, I am now that guy.
