Got it... I think those things you described are fairly common across all forums ive been on - but maybe this one is a bit worse in that way than most.. there is more signal than noise here.. there are people that want attention regardless if its negative or positive - those are trolls by definition and there is ignore feature for that. We had a thread re late bloomers D+[infinity] like Tage Thompson I thought would be interesting to hear your takes on that. We what ive noticed is late bloomers arent as rare as you'd think..e.g. even Fiala didnt truly break out to PPG until last year. His 20 yr old season was really rough.. and QB is now starting to turn the corner - so we all feel a lot better about him.

If I recall correctly I remember seeing some news about Legionnaire and why he stopped posting but I can’t remember why. Back on my old account it was always fun going back and forth with him and Ron

An outlier? I mean, he has been great, dominant, superstar player this season and last, it's just not common for a player to explode at 24, so I think it's wrong to say its normal or to assume it will happen with every prospect. Every single team board is now going to believe that their struggling 1st round pick is going to be the next Tage Thompson, when in reality those struggling 1st round picks have a much higher likelihood of busting than they do of being Tage Thompson.

Kind of like how for years Drew Brees was the cautionary tale of giving up on a QB to soon, and everyone believed their QB who did nothing for 3-4 years was going to pull a Drew Brees. But hope springs eternal, right?

I remember when Legionnaire landed in the hospital and all of us changed our avatars to show our support. :). He was really touched.

Would you consider Fiala, Kempe and Vilardi as outliers? Fiala didnt kick it into gear until 2019 season when he was 23: https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/87971/kevin-fiala and we know Kempe's story: Adrian Kempe at eliteprospects.com Vilardi https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/286867/gabriel-vilardi .. i know a lot of things play into this like injuries and covid.. but i wonder if the make or bust age is closer to age 22/23 for the average player. One other thing is what do you think is the main reason for TNT breakout season last year and this.

Just saw this , I talked with JDM at the game on the 5th he is well but don’t hold your breath for him coming back , too busy and not really the place it was but will be back to celebrate the big wins at times

Thanks! I am glad to hear of JDM. I wouldn't assume either of them would come back or even lurk around here at all. I was rooting for their Surly & Scribe schtick to take off, but since that went to the wayside I hadn't really heard from them since he stopped tweeting about the Kings. People come and go, I still love it here, but they are two that I certainly miss.
