Guards, just the fact that they can't secure first downs on short yardage is an issue. Maybe an upgrade at RB is what they need or secure a long term solution at LT if Miller is beginning to break down vs play to his mid 30's. They won't draft a OG in round 1. Depending on need, or Miller's health, can see them going OL in round 2 or 3.

Brady, not getting involved in the scouting. I think at most he'd attend both QBs pro day and be in on their meetings to give his feedback. Offer what he thinks of them. Aside from that, he's not going to PSU to meet with Carter or watch him workout, same with McMillan. WIll leave that to GM and scouts.
That's true about the Guards although I doubt it would've been as much of an issue if we still had Jacobs playing RB. They should at least bring someone in to compete for a starting spot though. It's unfortunate they gave Andre James an extension last year as he'll leave about $5.5m in dead cap. Still saves a few million so might as well cut him.

That sounds about right regarding Brady. Can't see him getting real involved. Telesco and co will be doing most of the work. Hopefully Davis doesn't have any say.

What is sad, and what also shows how bad an owner Davis is, I think all of Gruden, McDaniels, Pierce would have a contract that runs next season including the new HC in 2025. I know Gruden did a buyout or something but his deal normally would have gone through to 2025. Hired in 2017 so his deal was to go 10 years to 2026 season.

Mark Davis is a terrible owner handling football operations, he handles this like it's his toy to play with. Ever since Al Davis passed away, Mark has been just bad at everything regarding the on field and off field decisions.

Gruden was a mistake, McDaniels was a joke, Pierce was just awful all together.

Spot on. But, no way would Wash move off the #2 pick.

Kliff was still getting AZ HC money, so unless his HC deal was expiring after 2025 season, he didn't need it to run to 2026 as I would assume he had offset language to reduce AZ's financial burden for any job he got.

But, maybe that was the case.

But, it's all on Mark Davis. Since taking over in 2011 when Hue Jackson was HC, he hired full time:

Dennis Allen, who last 2 years and 4 games
Del Rio who lasted 3 years
Gruden 3 years and 3 games before the emails
McDaniels who lasted under 1.5 years
Pierce who got a full season following his interim gig.

So, is it the HC or the Owner here?

He’s sold off a lot of the raiders. Think he’s down to under 20% for sure maybe closer to 10% but he owns the interest that keeps him in charge of operations.
He can now spread the cost of all of those old HC into other people.

Guy is clueless.
