That's how a goalie steals game!

I hate to harp on this with all that I've said on Tuukka lately but it's true isn't it? That had steal shamelessly stamped all over it.

With that said he may not have to have needed to steal anything had he played up to par earlier in the season.

All the phoney's coming out today.

What is the point of such a negative comment?

Really? Seriously?

BOTH goaltenders have been absolutely amazing, trying their best to get the team into the playoffs. Both goalies are giving their all. The best that fans can do on HF Boards?

Gripe, gripe, gripe.....and try to start an unnecessary war.

Can't people just be happy for both the goalies and this team? :shakehead

I think my point was misconstrued. I wrote that because after today's game, many people are backing Doby ( for good reason). The same people that were roasting him during the season. I always thought that his criticism was reactionary and wrong due to his lack of help from the team. There is a reason why he is a back up. His goals against wasn't bad either. He lost games where he only let in 2 goals. I never thought he deserved the demotion. He was expected to carry the team during a game when that's the job of a #1. Look atyesterdays game. Too many shots.

I think most of us didn`t anticipate him struggling so much as he did up until recently

Julien had something to do with that. He put pressure on the situation by not playing him at the beginning. Let him play through the struggles. I understand it towards the end of the season when the playoffs are in sight. It's funny but he turns it around under Cassidy? I just don't think he was that bad.

Strange he's turned it around so much under Cassidy. Didn't think the head coach would have much of a effect on the back up.

I will respectfully disagree, bottom line is this, most back ups don`t play much and I suspect it`s not an easy role however, their job is to be ready to go when called upon and while I found the team wasn`t playing terrific in front of him, you watch him now compared to then, he consistently sat back in his net, gave up huge rebounds and his angle control was miserable and he earned the lack of trust he got.

Sometimes players play bad , sometimes they play good, sometimes over their head but to just assume Cassidy has anything to do with A.K better play is kind of funny. I think you are all forgetting Cassidy felt the need to push rask in to 3 in 4nights when he kind of already knew rask doesn't do well when he is overplayed. A.k is on a roll just enjoy it , he isn't a great goalie all of a sudden . Actually I am not sure you can enjoy it any more as there is a good chance he wont play again this year but you never know.

So just a coincidence that AK was horrible all year, and then Cassidy becomes coach, and AK starts playing well and winning.

I don't know if Cassidy has anything to do with AK playing well, but I don't discount it. I find it interesting how many aspects of this team were terrible under Claude, but are much better under Cassidy, and yet many people will not give him credit.

Lately, it's been either 'two U's, two K's, two points' or 'one U, one K, a whole bunch of other letters, two points'.....I'll take either!

Really impressed with his 6-0 run he's on, really shined yesterday. I'm not going to go quite as far as a stolen game, but boy he made some wonderful saves. Watching the highlights again, he was locked in.

Anton and Cassidy seemed to have a good relationship down in Providence. I recall going to a meet the players party where they seemed deep in conversation while seated at the same autograph table, almost to the point of pretty much treating everyone lined up as a distraction.

when does Dobby play next?

Vs sens no?

Maybe against Wsh if Bruins have clinched 2nd/3rd in the division or are locked in WC2 and nothing to play.

If not, we have seen the last of him for this year unless a Rask injury.

Glad Dobby found his game. His 6-0 streak to close the year has made his signing worthy.

chizzler- you are an awesome poster, and I mean that sincerely.

Just don't feed the negative nellies on here. I am not talking about the decent posters who speak the truth about players when they're not playing up to par- we all do that from time to time. Some games, I have yelled at Rask via my TV, and some days, Dobie. Miller gets on my last nerve, especially third period penalties. Part of being a die hard fan.

Yet I can't dismiss the great games these two goalies have played in the last couple of weeks- both are really pulling their weight on this team, and sometimes even more. Tuukka just got his seventh shut out of the season- not too shabby, in my eyes.

Folks need to give credit where it's due, and decent posters have been, even when they've been critical in the past. They are at least praising their efforts now.

The ones who will never eat crow, but simply stay away until the next loss- we can do without that white noise on here. Let's just forget and ignore them and continue to support the team as fans and hope they nab a playoff spot within the next day or two. These folks aren't worth your time, chizzler. Peace. :)

Thank you! I always enjoy your posts thoroughly as well. A nice, calm voice of reason, even when expressing honest opinions. You're a class act. :handclap:

I'm going to continue to root for both. Eventually, a game will be lost soon, hopefully, folks will remember their outstanding play as of late and give them a break. They're both trying, what more can we ask of them?

I don't, for one moment, believe that Tuukka or Anton gave up on this team.

WIth that small of a sample size?

Yes it is most likely a coincidence

I'll take it though, love the way he's playing. Not sure it has anything to do with Cassidy. I think it's just a hot goalie

Edited for misinformation

I just wanted to add Rask along with his 7 shut outs has lost 5 shut outs in the last few minutes of the 3rd , two of which were 1-0 defeats . Not too shabby indeed.
