I was at the game tonight and, admittedly, haven’t had time to watch a lot this year but…is Fiala always like he was tonight? Jesus with some poor coverage and effort.

Don't see us getting Pettersson or Miller. Nucks want at least a very good 2C + or a 1C, which means Byfield would be in the mix. It'd be a shame to trade Q this early in his career and I'm sure he would be an absolute beast after we trade him with our luck, just look at how PLD is playing rn. Blake also has a sketchy track record of massively overpaying in trades, so the return would be lopsided against us. I could see the Rags making a deal to swap Zbad with Miller or the like.

He was awful tonight, that wasn't the norm, he's normally meh with splashes of holy shit.....but tonight was just a tire fire.

Fiala looks confused most of the time.

I kind of feel bad for him because I think he's trying to play a team game, but he just can't figure it out.

Then I remember that he's a handsome 28 year old multimillionaire living in LA and don't feel sorry for him anymore.

The three stooges never cease to amaze me.
Ther'e gonna feel REAL stupid when this guy is scoring 30 someplace else.
But actually this move at least provides the young man some change in his status from an organization that finally drafted a scorer and then couldnt figure out what to do with him.
I wish him the best of luck and success here in the nhl or wherever

Or maybe you’ll feel REAL stupid if you actually learn the backstory behind all of this.

All according to plan, obviously. :sarcasm:

Sucks all around, but hope Kaliyev gets his shot. The injury couldn't have come at a worse time and I am sure we tried to find a taker for a trade, His AHL numbers didn't scream "trade for me" more like "I am bound for the KHL" and I doubt he was happy to be down there or giving it his all, though what that is is unknown at this point.

Just more brilliant development and asset management from this organization.

It’s the latest example in horrid asset management.

Don’t think the guy can bring anything to the team by any means, but squandering assets for nothing in return is absolutely killing the future of this team.
Pretty sure I read these same exact, hot takes when Fagemo was placed on waivers.

Is this the part where a few posters celebrate another blown 2nd round pick

Oh i see I'm late to the Arty party

Kings gonna King

Draft an enigmatic scorer who can be lethal offensively, try to turn him into a good little checker, be surprised there's pushback and he turns into basically exactly his draft profile.

Kings front office when Kaliyev isn't successful in 5 minutes with Trevor Lewis and Brendan Lemieux:

King's need to add a sniper for the playoffs. We don't have a games changing shot on the team.

Any ideas? Maybe Panarin, but doubt he fits the King's style. Can Hall still shoot? Jack Quinn in Buffalo hit a rough patch. Maybe we can pick him up.
