I like Trouba but that salary cap is tough.

Kings have no room for him - Doughty, Anderson, Clarke, Edmundson, and Spence all have contracts for the next few years. Gavrikov is the only pending UFA and he's a LHD. Kings are weak in the system at LHD. Actually, they are weak at RHD also.

Booth and Dvorak are both playing their first year pro. Kirsanov is in Russia. Wooley is in juniors. That is all the LHD.

Mania is in junors - he's a RHD. Otto Salin is also a RHD currently playing in Europe. Same with big Jack Sparkes - but he's in college.

There's no reason for a team to acquire Trouba unless the Rangers are paying you to take on his contract.

But the Ranges only have one pick in the first 4 rounds of this years draft.

That is in fact true, if you take shots and goals as measures of events. The Kings are the best in the league at shot suppression (24 shots against per game) and also lead the league in fewest shots for and against per game (52 shots total per game).

They're 11th in the league in total goals (for and against) per game (5.7), so they're below the average (6.1 goals per game).

Kings are middle of the pack offensively with a very good defensive game, but mediocre goaltending (11th worst GAA). Low event team.

Let me know if you find one. I won't hold my breath, as he's never gelled with anyone in Nashville, Minnesota, or LA, so I don't expect that to suddenly change.

They should have protected Shea Theodore and kept Hampus Lindholm.

Wonder if they will hold onto Vatrano, Gibson and see how well they do with Trouba.
Becket Sennecke is destroying it in the OHL. 44 pts in 25 games. Right there w Greentree.
Bet he’s on the team by yrs end.

I’d give his spot to Turc honestly.

He should have to stay after practice and shoot an extra 100 shots with practice goalie. Try different sticks.

In October I said the team was like Frankenstein. Well he has appeared onstage to do a song and dance. Ooba dooba! Maybe he'll find himself in bed, in a smoking jacket, with Maddy Kahn. Life is good. Sometimes.

I also said the team was schitzo during their pre-season workups. Well to paraphrase Lombo every team needs a few borderline psychos. I like the besserker forecheck. The adjustments made between periods. Players have distinguished themselves by putting out the effort most nights. New this year, THEY BIG and they fast. Seems everyone likes playing over their own expected performance metric. Even if we don't have top PK and PP we are best 5v5. Which is most of the game. Be best.

Surprisingly, The Blues Magoos might have sung it best with their brilliant composition "We Ain't Got Nothin Yet'.

He has lost all confidence.

Suffers from classic big man syndrome where he is unsure and deferring, instead of aggressive and dictating.
