I think Hamilton could definitely support an NHL team and the rivalry would be fun to watch, very unlikely to happen though.

I'd gladly switch to a different Toronto team if one came along.

At this point I'm so disappointed in the Leafs I'd become a Senators fan if they could ever get their shit together. I'd rather watch Tkachuk than any player currently on the Leafs not named Matthews. I have no emotional attachment to any of this iteration of the team.

This is one of the most disliked cores I've ever seen.

If another team opened up within a couple hundred miles legions of fans would jump bandwagons. Not because they want to cheer on the new team either. But because they are sick of supporting this group of arrogant greedy buttmilks.

I wouldn't even care what they called the new team either.

The Toronto Not-The-Leafs would work for me. That's what everyone would be calling them anyway. I wouldn't care if they'd stink for the first five years either.

I've alreaady been cheering for the biggest joke in the league for decades anyway.

Toronto
Kitchener waterloo makes most sense as it also gets you the London Windsor Guelph Milton areas within an easy drive

Pickering, Ontario
Durham (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa)
Peel (Sauga, Brampton, Milton)
York (richmond hill, Stouffville, Markham)
Hamilton/Burlington

If any of those areas ever got a team, I would toss my leaf jersey out and be an instant fan of them and drop the leafs.

Durham especially since I live in the region. Too small likely to ever host a team, but man would it be awesome.

I doubt we ever see GTA 2 unfortunately. Leafs would lose a huge chunk of current anf future fans and leafs revenues and valuation would drop for both present and future
