In the US the gambling ads are non-stop even on sports talk radio every commercial break includes a betting ad. They even have half hour shows just for betting.

Essentially from the minute I get home until I go to bed hockey is on, so I'm pretty much using TV timeouts to do stuff around the house.

Watching games on ESPN+ this season it is by far the burger king ad.

They either autotuned it at some point or re-recorded it with vocals that were less off key because the initial one was intentionally out of tune in a way that was crazy making.

That Amazon commercial is horriawful. But also totally screams 2023.

The Gretzky/McDavid BetMGM commercial is bad in a hilarious way. The way McDavid shushes him makes me laugh every time.

Oh, and yes, f*** gambling ads. Rotten to the core. Commercials, in-game, intermissions -- I swear, gambling will ruin the sport (and has already begun for me and my viewing experience).

The amount of gambling ads is really nuts in Canada the last year and a bit.

Obvious that some laws were changed.

Gambling is totally cool up here, kids are watching these commercials and that's fine apparently.

I don't know if it's actually Canada wide or an Ontario thing though.

I watch both Canadian and US broadcasts... it's horrific on both sides

Really wish the gambling ads would be banned like cigarette ads, advertising of all kind is horrific. Its why I PVR everything, start watching the game an hour later, its wonderful watching a game in 2 hours or less. I even fast forward their annoying pop up ads. Scum.

The Prime one has been blasting during other programming for a while - sometimes twice in one break.

Amazon stache has me ready to kill.

I was impressed the first several times I saw it because of how modern and embracing it is. Then I've seen it probably 125 more times. And then it occurs to me that this is about someone who goes to a private school who can't find a solution to a very real thing women struggle with and just decides "f*** it I'm Freddie Mercury, let me drop God only knows how much on this vest and make a scene in the classroom" and attract an uncomfortable amount of attention onto herself.

Some poor kid is gonna try this and get bullied so bad for it
