If they don't score off the rush they don't score. This team cannot play on the interior and if you can't do that you're going to have a super difficult time scoring. They've got skill players but nobody to play in front of the net.

Yup. Today wasnt on defense or goaltending.

Today was missed opporutnities by bratt, mercer, hughes etc etc etc.

And a bad change........ Against the bergeron line...

Vitek did his good thing. Deflection is deflection
Even if we want to say Vitek should have gotten the first one, it was a shot that never should have happened after McLeod had maybe the absolute worst giveaway of the season.

Dude they’ve lost eight of nine, do they need to literally fall out of a playoff spot before you think anything is wrong? That’ll probably happen by mid January at this rate
And most of the playoff teams last year had terrible streaks sometime in the season, It happens. Only two of those losses were terrible, the rest were close games where the Devils dominated most of the time.

The goaltending may of cooled down but we have lots of players injured and a top 6 player that has been injured the majority of the seaon.

"Good teams win despite this"

Sometimes, Not usually. Its a fun quote but it rarely happens.

Its not our season yet. Playoffs would be great but this team is missing such obvious pieces for success that we just need to be patient. In 24-25 season we should be mad.

This team needs Palat back in the worst way, the top 6 looks horrendous right now and we sure as shit know the bottom 6 won't produce anything.

At 1-1, Devils had the Bratt breakaway and Hughes drive in front to go up 2-1
We had numerous high quality chances . 2 on 1 ‘s , breakaways , good looks from the slot. Hit crossbar. It’s so F’ing frustrating . Other team seems to always find a way to get a timely goal . Usually are lucky bounces and shit luck for us . We cannot get a timely save and we cannot finish = losing constantly yet playig well.

What the hell are you talking about? This team lost two one-goal games to Boston.

And whole bunch of games prior to that... Sorry, this looks a hell of a lot like last year, and that team finished near the basement. We have a whole lot more history to show that getting 8 out of a possible 24 points is far more indicative of what type of team they are than 26 out of a possible 26 was.

I am just not impressed by them. Yes, Ullmark has been good, but other than him I don't see them being a great team. I think they are frauds and will go out 1st round.

I am not either .. But they finding ways to win at a crazy rate. Have they been lucky for some.. Im sure but good teams will find a way.

Just like we are finding ways to lose. Its unfair but something needs to give right now. Put in palat if he is ready, no point saving cap or him for playoffs if we freefall now

If we don't turn it around by mid January we will be outside the playoffs.

They have zero cushion left. This has gone as much as they can allow before the season is truly over
If they don't turn it around by Mid January, I will be open to Bratt being traded at the Deadline for whatever they can get.

Boston is the best team in the league and didn’t have McAvoy or Marchand for a month plus

Washington hasn’t had Backstrom or Wilson all season and are right in the race lol

Avs have been decimated by injuries and are still in the playoffs

I do have faith we will snap out of this soon, but we need to start beating some of these good teams. We can't just lose to every team that's good because they're good.

The secondary scoring has completely gone away. The market correction for Wood is real. This is just what he is. A borderline 3rd liner, not a definite 3rd liner/middle 6 guy like he was scoring at earlier in the year. I never once thought he would sustain that.

Whatever the 4th line is these days is just a hodgepodge of whoever you can throw together and whatever line Wood and McLeod are on is the 3rd line since Bastian got hurt.

It looks nothing at all like last year, you have no idea what you are looking at.

Sure it looks like last year because they haven't gotten the goaltending in this stretch besides tonight and probably a few other games. 5v5 scoring wasn't the issue last year like it is right now, so not sure how it's comparable.

Fitz cannot waster an entire season where we got off to an epic start and piss away a playoff spot. Now is the time to make a move . Not when it’s already too late. Get Meier here asap. Do something. The team is free-falling and need a boost. Addig a player like Meier will be a massive addition on and off ice.
Our top players need to pull their heads out of their asses. Bratt has been invisible. Nico has not playing as well as he can.
We need a wake up call amd we need it ASAP.
This is a time when Lou would make dome shit happen and positive shit at that! Not taking about 80 year old Lou with the Islanders. Lou in his glory days here. Everything has a self life and has to move on. Jus saying though...
