This guy is ****ING MONEY.

****ING MONEY.

Who isn't on the Sekera train anymore? Sure don't see those "Suckera" posts for sure...my God, is this guy the real deal.

The only issue I have is that Carolina didn't move him through CBJ first...you know, for karma's sake.

Yeah, Sekera has been very good. He is not as physical as Voynov, but he is much smoother with the puck and makes very good decisions.

I think their physicality is comparable...but yeah, maybe Voynov throws more actual big hits and is physically engaged by being scrappy. But along the boards in general, they have the same style, since they don't have size--check the arms/stick, use leverage, leave with puck. It's awesome.

I always wanted to see how he meshed first, but at this point, if Sekera leaves, it's bad imo. Unless he gets like 6 million+ from another team. Hoping he sees the value with his buddy Gabby here and takes term/security.

he is so god damn smart with the puck. then there is his silky smooth skating.... Im going to start calling him Sexkera

I told this to a friend last night and it's kinda a silly but if push comes to shove, I'd rather they keep Sekera and trade Voynov. The Kings gave up assets for Sekera and will lose him for nothing if they re-sign him. I still think the Kings could get a decent return for Voynov if he isn't deported. If they can keep both, then great.

I'm on board with shipping out Richards and walking away from Stoll, Williams. I don't think there is a chance that DL trades Greene but i"m cool with that. I'd bring back Regehr too. He's had a great year and the Kings need some muscle on the back end.

Someone isn't coming back but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Eh, he still sucks. Just cause he is smart, great along the boards, skates and sees the ice well and makes leaving the zone easier on the forwards don't make him all that...

I'd also add he's looking this good playing with Regehr--a noted play-driving tanker--AND on his wrong side.

A few people here was down on this guy after a few games but I knew as soon as he stepped on the ice this dude is freakin awesome. You can just see it. Yeah he was getting use to his teammates and made a few mistakes here and there but once he got accustomed to the team he's a freakin beast. Please playoffs or not sign him. He's awesome.

I know it's inevitable but man kinda makes me sad cuz we won two cups with whomever is leaving. :(

Classic that after two games people were saying DL made the wrong move and even should of aquired James ****ing Wisnewski instead.

Crazy things happen when you actually give a guy time to adjust and learn our system.

Our scouts do it again. The only one they have been wrong on in a long time is Frattin

and Frattin went the other way for Gaborik (somehow), so I'm willing to call that one a wash

edit: and on topic, Sekera is better than advertised...having a guy on the backend who has both the skating ability and vision to match is crazy

he has settled the d in a huge way...Dean open up the wallet.
now if can get rid of Greene..

All our D are different, but Sekera brings vision that only Doughty has. He also carries the puck well out of the zone, which Doughty is a savant at, Martinez is pretty good at, and Voynov is not as good at. I really hope Dean can keep him. You can trust this guy with the puck in almost any situation. You can never have too many of those types of players.

After we acquired Gabby, a bunch of people said he can't stay healthy, we should've traded for Vanek instead, etc... In Dean I trust.
