I was a bit worried with HBO and all that Discovery merger business that this show would be on the chopping block, but it seems we'll get at least one more season.

Given you guys are into that Nathan Fielder vibe, I'm going to also recommend Joe Pera Talks with You. Also available to watch on HBO Max. It's an absurd little heartwarming comedy. Hard to explain. And it takes place where I grew up, so it's difficult for me not to love it all the more.

Joe Pera is definitely on my list, I've heard only good things.

Picked up '68 Tigers and '84 Tigers Strat-O-Matic cards on E-Bay. Rolled a game today and the '68 bunch won 5-0. McLain has a killer card. Morris did well aside from an abysmal 4th that saw 4 of the 5 runs scored: HBP, BB, HR, HR.

I'm waxing nostalgic for pandemic time traffic. It was much less stressful driving during the equivalent of the post Thanos snap. *sigh*

Ugh. Same. My drive in the morning to work when I'm not teleworking went from 35 minutes to 80-90 minutes because of traffic jams and accidents on I35.

Dude that licks...and not in a good way, either. While going back to regular trafficmay have added time, along with Big Gretch fixin' the damn roads (orange cones and detour signs as far as the eye can see), at least it didn't double+ my commute.

Hope Seattle isn't as shitty for commuting for you.

I'm actually looking at buying a place either up near Bellingham near Lake Whatcom or in the keys. I want to be further out of the city and on the water. I don't mind the commute to the office if I'm taking one of the ferry boats. Those are great to ride.

I went from 2 years not coming into the office to being back for a handful of months now. Big sigh. I want those 2hrs of my life back every day...

The worst part of it is, so many people that I work with are much less productive when working in the office versus working from home.

There is literally nothing I do that can't be done from home. I attend meetings via Teams anyway (for the few that are solely in house most are with people off site). The only difference is rather than sending a Teams msg we can yell into other offices.

I’m currently a top-3 prospect for the HFboards ‘25 draft. I’m sure that won’t change in the next 22 months :skeptic:

"Jaster is falling off draft boards," one scout told me. "His irreverent brand of humor captivated a lot of people at first but he's failed to maintain that same energy over time."

Another scout added, "I can see someone taking a flyer on him if he falls out of the top 10. He's flashed so much upside with his post-draft commentary but fails to show up for game day threads consistently. If someone can harness his effort levels, he could be the steal of the draft."

Oh good. Now I can look forward to half the board screaming about why it would be ridiculous to select him, and the other half screaming about why it would be ridiculous not to.

I was cruising my twitter for Rogle and Frolunda stuff this morning and THIS tweet popped up.

I almost forgot how fun rasslin was from the mid 90s to about 2004. The pre-Cena championship days of WWE. When Randy Orion was just Ric Flair and HHH’s sidekick. Eddie Guerero, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and The Rock shit talking everyone.

Ok guys, the zombie acopalypse is here, we need a squad like in the tv shows but now its made of the players on the Red Wings team! We need roles for: The leader, The leaders bro who eventually stabs the leader in the back, The pregnant woman, the young and talented dude who saves the squad couple times before dying, the disagreeing dude who is against every decision the leader makes, the kid who does stupid shit but grows up and eventually takes the role of the leader, and ofc the bully who just bullies people.

I’ll be the pregnant woman. I‘ve been eating a lot of dairy lately and feel bloated.
