Option 3 is the only one ducks consider, they do not need a quantity trade OR defense back. they need a 1 for 1 type for a top 6 forward

Alternatively, what if TOR and ANA swap 1st rounders instead of TOR giving those 2nd Rounders?

Since the Leafs aren't trading Nylander, these are all horrible for the Ducks.

1, 2 and 3 are horrible for Anaheim. Bunch of spare parts and prospects for a very good PMD who is quite underrated. You don't get a 1D or very good 2D for that lol.

And LOL at adding a 2nd for Nylander. He hasn't even played a full season in the NHL but he's worth a bonafide young 1D/2D at a low cap hit + 2nd

Please do not bring up Lupul in a Fowler trade. Twice was enough, no matter how much Toronto retains.

3 of the offers are atrocious for the Ducks I agree.

Regarding Nylander: Certain "prospects," even when having not played a full season is worth quite a lot. Don't think Fowler is a 1D or "very good" 2D either.

Tell ya what, we'll give up Gardiner, a bonafide young 1D/2D at a low cap hit, (according to you after all) + a 2nd for possibly the following players: Ivan Provorov, Werenski, or Puljujarvvi. While not the perfect comparison, Gardiner is somewhat up there with Fowler and Nylander is in that group of prospect values who haven't played a full season either.

Those teams with the prospect would promptly tell us to fk off, and frankly its what's gonna happen with us here.

There's a very good chance that pick is top 3. No chance it's moved for anything without protection. As far as these offers are concerned, all look bad for Anaheim IMO except for the Nylander deal which understandibly the Leafs wouldn't do.

All pretty bad for ana, and the nylander one toronto doesnt do.
I get that ana and tor trade a lot in real life but there are 28 other teams out there.

Why not? Not disagreeing with you, genuinely wondering what makes Fowler so much better than Gardiner that it's apparently laughable to even have the two names on the same webpage.

Gardiner is a 2D and Fowler is a 3D. Fowler goes to Toronto behind Rielly and Gardiner on the depth chart IMO.

im laughing at gardiner being a bonafide 1 or 2 young dman. i didnt even mention fowler.

to start gardiner is 26, so i wouldn't describe him as young especially considering the average age for nhl dman last year was 26.9

I got the impression you were laughing more at his player quality.

I agree some prospects are worth a lot without playing a full season, but to think the Ducks would add to a low cost young 1D/2D for a prospect 2 years removed from the draft is odd. (although he has shown a lot of promise for the nhl)

Also, Gardiner is not a 1D/2D at all. He had a good turnaround season after being disappointing the prior year but he's a 3D at best right now and is not as good as Fowler. Not really close
