Darryl said that Martinez's surgery yesterday was to do some work on the tip of his pinky, near the nail.

It sounded painful the way he described it. But it doesn't sound like it's any long term issue.

Really enjoyed the game, the pace and the hits. I liked the lines, thought they played well. I thnk the zone time is tied to not being as crisp in their own end and g etting the breakout passes out faster. But against a very good team, they fared well If they play this well going forward, it bodes better.

Good thing I had a close, exciting game for the early game , Flyers down 2-0 midway thru the first vs Habs. it's going to be a long night...

McNabb looked very good today, 1st Ducks goal aside. Huge hits early on, was solid on the PK and starting sneaking in from the point a couple times looking to contribute offensively. On the whole it was very encouraging to see, especially with ridiculous ice time he pulled today.

Now for another little break. Heal up everybody!

Good to see the Ducks still blow

Hope we can play them in the playoffs again though coz god damn I find these games fun

So, while coasting in the regular season, we still went 1-1 against the regular-season champs and they needed the shootout gimmick to beat us. Not bad at all.

I don't always understand what Sutter is thinking, but I really can' see any valid reason for SToll to be out there with 12 seconds left and Kopitar is on the bench. Carter ended up losing the faceoff, but how are Kopi and Gabby or even TT not out there in lieu of Williams and SToll??

Stoll wins the game!

 sweet, sweet irony

Mitchell got his ring today. Coolness.

Nope, he gets it on Tuesday I believe.

They're so out to lunch over there

The Kings are nothing but flukey goal scorers, cheaters, divers, who own the refs. All collisions are dirty, everyone who falls embellishes.... sack the **** up and roll with the hand you're dealt. And at least TRY to sound like more than a casual homer.

I greatly appreciate that this board, for the most part, has really matured along with the team over the last few years. Our team learned how to win, and most of us did too. We generally adhere to the above advice and look inward when the team fails. We're comparatively light on blame games or discrediting the opposition, and we don't throw up smoke screens of excuses like poorly educated babies.

mcnabb played his best game as a king so far. Power play woke up finally We so need to keep that going. It would make it a lot easier on our defense to have leads to work with. 1-0 without King :) just saying :p
