I'm also betting Pearson Toffoli were the sick ones. Haven't looked at ice time but I noticed Pearson took like a 10 second shift once haha. Sprinted from midrink to the goalline, then labored off.

I'm pretty pissed that Sutter would shorten the bench like that with 3 games in 4 days, the last one being a day game. You can't get much tighter than that. I also thought it was very silly to put McNabb and McBain together. Just a horrible decision.

Of course, all my opinion means is Sutter knows exactly what he is doing. I rarely get upset with a regular season game, but if those decisions got me going, I'm pretty sure the message got across to the players.

McBain/McNabb... what kind of idiot would run that pairing... Maybe spread the suck around a little so it isn't all concentrated on one pairing...

You don't think the suck was all through the lineup tonight? Muzzin and Greene weren't good either. Doughty wasn't anything special. The 2nd line was invisible again. Not sure what Brown was doing half the time. Other than playing like only 5 guys every shift, there wasn't much for Sutter to do when the whole team is chasing the puck, and reaching just to keep up with the Ducks.

I think Sutter is just sandbagging his coaching abilities like all the Kings do during the regular season.

Haha. Team mails it in and so does Sutter.

I'm sure he doesn't show off the whole playbook, though. That's nice. I mean, trotting McNabb/McBain out there tonight to Mcsuck practically assures that, right? I mean, when they were out on that powerplay, I took a HUGE swig of whiskey.

Well, judging by the Ducks reactions/quotes, they're pumped. Sorta like the Sharks opening night victory. "Revenge" for the playoffs, etc. Should be excited about the comeback I get that--hope it just pisses our guys off for Saturday.

Well why not, they won the Regular Season Game Trophy tonight.

Oh and the main board informs me that the Ducks outshot the Kings for once (mind blown!). Maybe there should be a trophy for that too. Will the Blues and the Wild mind giving it up?

The Kings definitely have a D ficiency! We need Voynov back asap! Poor McBain, first game back in the NHL and he gets paired with a rookie in an intense rivalry game. Welcome back to NHL McBeanie!!!

I'm also betting Pearson Toffoli were the sick ones.

Hopefully not the only ones.

The Kings had a PP in the 3rd, which was typically awful, but there was one camera shot when Kesler had the puck around Quick while shorthanded. Kesler was whacking away at the puck a few times, and all 5 Kings on the ice were within about a foot of Kesler, and nobody touched him, and nobody even tried for the puck.

There is a method to the Sutter madness .We all should know better by now.
Three seasons two cups (out coached both opposing coaches) and WCF appearance. The man knows what he is doing.

On how “intense” the game was:
It was very little, quite honest. It was just kind of a pond hockey game. It looked like one of our preseason games. [Reporter: Seriously?] Very seriously. You want me to say ‘not seriously?’ [Reporter: Are you talking about just from your team’s end, that you weren’t happy with letting this thing get away, or no?] No, I don’t think we let it ‘get away.’ We never really had the lead. [Reporter: A couple of two-goal leads?] I know you define it by goals having a lead, but we really never had the lead. If it wasn’t for Jonathan, it wasn’t even close. They’re a much better team that we are. They proved it last year and they did again tonight. [Reporter: So what was lacking, do you think tonight? For the most part?] I don’t think we had much energy, much focus, much execution. We used a short bench. Too bad actually we lost the shootout, because then Jonathan feels tough, right? He stood on his head to get us a point.

On how tonight’s game affects the Dallas game tomorrow:
It doesn’t affect much.

On what he says to the players after tonight’s game:
Aw, we’ve had such an awful three years. I don’t know how I can come up with anything to tell them after we lose a game.

On whether the shortened bench was related to the way players were playing:
Yes. It’s a big, physical team we were playing, so you’d have to be prepared to play like that.

dead

I agree, didn't really feel like the Kings had the lead tonight.

Oh man facebook > main board.

Just saw the King's post about falling in overtime, and the first comment I read was "Quick needs to ride the bench for like the rest of the month!"
:handclap:

Edit: on Sutter and "A rough three years"
:handclap:
Love it.

You're being too kind.

That 70's line gotta pick it up on the road. Can't be dominant at home and then be literally invisible on the road.

I'm also betting Pearson Toffoli were the sick ones. Haven't looked at ice time but I noticed Pearson took like a 10 second shift once haha. Sprinted from midrink to the goalline, then labored off.

Its the only logical explanation. We're going to have trouble holding a lead when we only have 3 lines and a very questionable 3rd pairing.

In the end, it was an exciting November regular season game. We should save the worrying for January and the inevitable return of Slumpitar.

Lol, Sutter is dead on.

Kings don't give two ***** about regular season game 16, whereas the media apparently does.

Also liked the "they were better than us last year" despite winning that series. Lmao

Hey Guys, Visitor: I have Toffoli in my pool.

Checked his Icetime: Both him and Pearson got hurt or what? They have 8/10 min. Whats up?
