Overall, a nice night for Henrik but I'm glad we don't have to retire jerseys for another 15 years at the very least.

Next one will probably be one of Fox, Shesty, or Panarin depending on how things go.

The team wants this. The FO wants it and continue to hire coaches that want it.

They like getting outshot.

I can't explain what could possibly possess them but it's the only way to explain how they don't even try to improve it.

I think going from Lundqvist to Shesty, this organization is married to the idea that they'll KeepThingsToTheOutside(TM) and do mUh Qu@LiTY when we have the puck.

You know what, guys, apparently f***ing not because we're in year 16 now of having nothing but Hall of Fame goaltending and winning nothing with it.

Absolutely the worst call of the decade
That being said the rangers got completely out played the last 39 minutes and 58 seconds. Was Quinn behind the bench?
Do we have to start worrying with a 2-0 lead? Seems that after these ceremonies the celebrating team always loses.
One thing I will say is that was classy of the wild to be out for the whole ceremony

Look, that is a shit way to lose. I think 9/10 that's a good goal. But they put themselves in that position by playing poorly for 2/3 of that game. Because they don't have a coach that prepares them to play.

Has little to do with the coach. They have too many 20 year old kids sprinkled through the lineup who don't contribute to the team's success, and who don't seem to be developing as soundly or quickly as we'd hope, which forces plugs to move up and down the lineup. The team isn't deep enough or experienced enough. That's it. It has next to zero to do with the coach.

I'd have no problem with the approach or losing games like this, by the way, if I felt most of the kids were meeting expectations. But they aren't.

Quinn wasn't behind the bench. But this guy ain't much better.

Horrendous final 40, we looked really bad. Worrying signs that we've given up two 2-goal leads lately with very little push back. Drury and GG need to do something about out 5v5 play.
PP looks very pedestrian without Fox, swapping Trouba for Jones on the 2nd one was a good idea though
For a line we rely on, Strome-Panarin were MIA for 90% of the game.
I liked Jones and Schneider, both should keep playing for the big club on the other side of the break

There were a few goals scored on Igor, the Duclair one comes to mind, when he was literally run over and/or sat on and it counted.

Yes the Rangers stopped skating and shouldn’t have been in that position but that goal has to count. There was more contact on Kreids goal earlier in the game, give me a break

That’s what you do at the end of the game. Jam the net. Crash the net. Wild fault for not clearing out the area. I’m sure a penalty wouldn’t be called if Strome was laid out there. It’s the game

Makes me wonder if they haven't considered trading Shesty, getting a mid-tier goalie, and actual NHL players to knock some of the AHLers off this roster.

Gallant's refusal to play his best players instead of his favorite vets is the reason why he was fired twice on short notice and it's pretty apparent. Reaves is as slow as molasses and can't do anything offensively anymore. All he has is size. McKegg is just speed and then nothing. Rooney has some compete and grind with a bit of skill. That 4th line put together you might have 1 single good hockey player.

This is not the playoffs where discipline is paramount. This is the regular season with many young players are learning the NHL. The veterans have to take ugly penalties even if the other team turtles to make the statement that “You can’t f* with our goalie and you can’t push us around “.
It’s worth the two points especially in hindsight that you ended up giving them away anyway.
