I've known two people in my life who had brain tumors (multiple in both cases) and received treatment and are now cancer free. Best wishes Amirov, I know it's a brutal thing to endure. The prognosis for recovery from these things is significantly better now than in the past. Stay positive and you'll be over this in no time, pain is temporary.

I too, had a cousin with a brain tumour, who is cancer free living a normal life. We can only hope the same for Amirov.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery Rodion!

damn that sucks, I hope that young man can recover and have a good long life. Something like this happened to the Rags a few years back with a 1st round pick and the Rags were awarded a compensatory 1st rnd pick, will this work the same for the Leafs?

I think that should be the least of our concerns at the moment. Hopefully Amirov has a full and speedy recovery. He’s got the best organization behind him during this helping him so I’m very hopefully everything will be okay.

business like life never stops, it's important to the team, and they both matter

This is heartbreaking. He’s a kid….. :(

Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. Times like this remind you to cherish your loved ones, count your blessings, and that hockey is just a game…..

poor kid, this hurts.

He's in Germany, the medicine there is at the cutting edge. No doubt he is getting the absolute best care possible especially with the Leafs backing it. This news hits really hard and I can't wait to hear a positive update in the near future. I look forward to seeing him live a normal life and finally suit up in the Blue and White.
