He has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Yeah saw the OP was updated after I posted. Tough news.

The medical team found a brain tumor during his recovery from the injury he suffered at the start of the season. He is in Germany for treatment and will not play for the remainder of the season.

I guess a bright side could be it was found and he will get treatment.

First and foremost, this is awful for Amirov and his family and I hope he makes a full recovery. I don't even know what treatment for this looks like but I trust that he'll get the best available medical attention. That poor kid.

To take a much more selfish viewpoint, holy f*** this organization can't catch a break.

Good news all things considered, but maybe he should relax a bit here. Perfectly ok to do so.

I'd guess everyone responds differently, but maybe some people wish to keep busy and/or active. I just lost a friendly acquaintance to cancer recently – as little as a few weeks before he passed, he was still attending a book club meeting with us. I can see the appeal, though get why some people might prioritise other things too.

i mean we’ve been very fortunate in terms of prospects, nothing bad really happen.

but Amirov has had a horrible two years in terms of his body breaking down. I’m glad he’s skating. Sounds like it’s benign, hopefully no cancer
