Yeah maybe there is a bit of confirmation bias there. Just didn’t like his play and I am pissed at the pick, could stop me from seeing things as they are. Hopefully.
Well it's commendable that you admit it, most people don't.

McIlrath couldn’t move, defend or move the puck as well as Schneider. He was drafted on athletics and potential. He couldn’t crack Canada’s top 8 two years after his draft, while Schneider in on the team’s second pair. Miller is a much more apt comparison for McIlrath.
You shut your dirty whore mouth!
Also worth pointing out that Shaky Mukhamadummy got absolutely pickpocketed in the high slot by Mercer, which caused the rush the other way leading to Schneider's goal
Strange time to harp on Schneider's potential offensive prowess considering this has been his most impactful game with the puck in this tourney
Unfortunately for Russia when you have Canada that can run 4 lines like they can their is no relenting.
no real star on Russia either except for Askarov, Canada is far more talented than Russia.Yeah no real "star" on Canada but its just wave after wave.
I can see the US giving them trouble as their defense won't be as prone to getting suffocated and their PP is so good.
Plus Levi is just due to get lit up.
Schneider is a weak link for Canada. He fumbles the puck a lot, Russia should pressure him heavily, could lead to a few chances. Not happy about the Rangers picking Schneider in the first, wouldn't even have taken him in the first three rounds. He has no ability on the puck what so ever and very low IQ. He closed the gap and made a nice hit in his own zone, which makes you impressed. Then you watch him play hockey and know he won't ever be a regular NHL player. He is one of the worst players on the ice, both teams included.

I want to beat Finland but i'm very scared of facing Canada they are so deep and fast, and on the occasions they break down Levi has been very solid all tournament.
Reads like someone who watched Schneider play for the first time in a game against Czechs.
But keep talking - the more idiotic shit you post the better Schneider is playing.
Schneider has had a few solid shifts in the second. I guess it is simple human psychology to only see all of his faults considering I hated the pick and don’t trust our drafting that much. I am trying to see what you all see in him, but I still really don’t see a future impactful NHLer. I guess everyone else on here seeing something in him is a good sign, so maybe I am wrong, but he doesn’t pass the eye test. But he has been good this period.
Canada would be favored to win but their PK has been kinda iffy and the US PP is just lethal. That US Russia game was a whilllleee ago.
But yeah, Finland isn't exactly a push over either but the US is the only team that can stop Canada from winning gold.
True but we've not had any of those players really make an impact at the NHL. Until that happens, our drafting is iffy.I know we've had lottery help the last two years but we're widely considered a top 3 if not the #1 farm system in the league.

They've transitioned him to a pure offensive defenseman this gameWhy is Schneider not killing penalties?
