Please stop with Reinhart and Lundell. This is ridiculous.

Yes I remember Reinhart having hard time to score last year. But he still scored 30 goals and 67 points.

Lundell is on pace for 5 goals and less than 30 points.
The only thing I am saying is that Lundell is in Reinhart's spot now compared to last season being the most frustrating player to watch, not living up to high expectations of some people on here. His performance is not horrible overall, only one part of his game. It was the same thing with Reino. Don't see what is ridiculous about that.

Can we send players down to the AHL during the bye week / Allstar weekend? If so, maybe it would do Lundell some good to get going - he should still be waiver exempt I believe

No, he's not.

I'll say it again: Lundell has 2 goals so far...2 goals! On pace for 5!

Reinhart was still scoring and making things happen offensively. And He had a 80 points season the year before. It was clear that it was just a matter of time before things start to click for him (not saying I was expecting a 100 points season this year though).

As for Lundell, since his first season, he's been regressing. That is really concerning.

Lundell did not regress at all on the defensive side of the game. He got better. He sucked in the FO circle. He got a lot better. He scored 10 points in his second PO run in 21 games to 1 point in 9 games in his first tour. There is clear progress to be seen.

If you are only limiting a guy's capacity of playing hockey on his offensive output in the regular season, nobody can help you.

And he has shown he has some scoring ability, with the right wingers. The offensive game will follow if he just sticks to what he is good at to preserve some confidence and build on it. No need to go force it.Speaking from personal experience here. I get your concern. Way to early though to give up on him

And if you are comparing Reinhart with Lundell, no body can help you either lol

No matter how good Lundell is defensively, it's never going to be good enough if he scores 5 in a season. That is not even 4th line production.

I'm not saying that he's done and will never find his game. I'm just saying that his game is concerning, to say the least.

I don't know in what world we could be fine with his play this year.

I didn't give up on him. But I certainly lowered my expectations.

And I'm not that concerned for him in the long term. I still believe he can be an above average 3rd line player who can take some 2nd line minutes when needed here and there. But my main concern is about the upcoming playoffs. Depth is one of keys for success in the PO, and not having a legt 3rd line will hurt.
