Well, time to see if Reinhart can get Lundell going or get himself infected with Nogoalitis.
Montour? lol. If anyone is underperforming on this team and still looks to be generating chances and jumping on play it's 100% MontourCan you name any other player on this year's roster that currently performs well below expectations like Reinhart did last year?
Yeah, I did not think so.
Lundell is not looking as bad as some guys on here make it seem
He's got the injury excuse. Lundell doesn't. And Reinhart didn't.Montour? lol. If anyone is underperforming on this team and still looks to be generating chances and jumping on play it's 100% Montour
You do realize Reinhart still had close to 30 points by the same mark last year? On the same line as Lundell? He's got the injury excuse. Lundell doesn't. And Reinhart didn't.
I think I would have preferred Lockwood and Lomberg switched. But it's not a huge deal.So scheduled loss then
“We want it to completely heal,” Maurice said after Florida’s morning skate Wednesaday. “He doesn’t go tonight. [Even] if he’s at 95 percent for the Minnesota game [on Friday], he won’t go in that one either because of the way he plays, but we don’t think it should take too long to do that.” Maurice added that there is no structural damage — “no strains, no pulls or anything sinister.” “We caught it early enough that we think it’s very short term,” Maurice said.
With Barkov out, Florida’s forward lines at morning skate were as followed: ▪
Eetu Luostarinen-Anton Lundell-Sam Reinhart
Carter Verhaeghe-Sam Bennett-Matthew Tkachuk
Evan Rodrigues-Kevin Stenlund-Ryan Lomberg
Jonah Gadjovich-Steven Lorentz-Will Lockwood

Yeah, that's true. You do realize Reinhart still had close to 30 points by the same mark last year? On the same line as Lundell?
And we entered this season with the expectations of maybe having the best 3rd line in hockey.
With how good Luostarinen Lundell Reinhart looked in the playoffs, they started this season together and looked horrendous.
I am only doing this for his own goodYeah, that's true.
My point is that Lundell is the big head case this year, and Reinhart was last year's - the number of chances he wasted was mind-blowing. And horrendous is far stretched. Anton is still great defensively, made a huge step forward in the FO circle, and has Cousins and Lombo on his RW. I am just saying that I don't get many guys freaking out about him. Guy still is only 22, and our best bottom-6 player behind Luosto. Cut him some slack, and wait until the POs for judgement.
Sounds pretty much exactly like all the Reinhart quotes when we traded for him...I am only doing this for his own good

Anton Lundell, the lowest-paid Panther, has no goals and one assist in his last six games and his ice time is declining. He has one goal this season with a goalie in the net. Where are the Panthers fans who told me how much they would miss him? When I hear of all the positive qualities the team lacked in the past, I think of Lundell
I wouldn't advise he jump onto the ice like that.Hoping Lundell scores a hatty and celebrates like this

Well below expectations is putting it mildly

Stolarz sucks and they need to get rid of that tall shitty goalieJust felt like at both times they got up by 2 they sort of let off the gas in staying defensively responsible.
Like they had the game in the bag each time.
Didn't help Stolarz couldn't make those saves but at the same time he was put in some tough spots.
Criticism is justified, nobody can deny that Lundell and Monty are far from what they have shown us last year.yeah, monty has maybe regressed to the mean.
we're dogpiling Lundell but I have to agree with the criticism - he looks awful. as if he has zero confidence. it's not killing us because the top two lines are producing so much but man, we need to figure this out and get him going.

But again, expectations are way too high and criticism too harsh IMO. Who knows if Monty can repeat what he has done last year, maybe he was a one-hit wonder? He just came back from a busted shoulder! Lundell has not been great of course, but this only concerns the offense part of his game. Everything else has been good.
I get the frustration. But guys need to adjust their expectations
It's confidence man. Go down to warmups before games and you can see he's a bit in his own head.yeah, monty has maybe regressed to the mean.

Reinhat could not put a puck in the net at the beginning of last year if his life depended on it. Lundell had some great looks over the last games, point blank, puck on the line. The comparison is not far off
Yeah, that's true.

Again, I am not comparing the overall output. Reinhart was the snakebitten frustrating one last year while playing well. Lundell is this guy this year, also playing very well at least defensively. We are at the half season mark, things can turn around for Anton. And honestly I don't care if his regular seasons are trending downwards if he comes back even stronger for the POs where he is trending upwards over the last 3 seasons.Reinhart score 30 goals last year. Lundell is on pace for 5 goals…
I think the comparison is far off. But maybe that’s just me…
