switch Berard and Laffy for a game.
I dont watch to mess up the mojo by taking Berard Marchand off that line.

He showed a great flash last year, but he needed to get even better. Even staying there would have been a huge disappointment. Instead, he's gone straight back to being the corpse he was for his first three years. He was our best skater against Florida in the ECF 6 months ago. Im not giving up on a 23rd year who we know is capable of much more. Panarin is on borrowed time in NY.
he started well.... until he inked a fat contractHe showed a great flash last year, but he needed to get even better. Even staying there would have been a huge disappointment. Instead, he's gone straight back to being the corpse he was for his first three years.
He's signed to an extension, so "don't give up on him" just seems like an obvious conclusion at this point. Yeah, hope he's good and tinker with it if you have to.
The fact that we still need to tinker with it in year five, I think, tells you the caliber of player you have.
If he was really anything, that wouldn't have an effect.he started well.... until he inked a fat contract
tbh anyone who plays with Cuylle Chytil has shown success....I dont watch to mess up the mojo by taking Berard Marchand off that line.

I'm not making excuses he needs to be way better. Even more so now with his new contract. If he was really anything, that wouldn't have an effect.
That's kind of my point with Lafreniere and all the excuses, and all the "what if," and all of the attempts to explain it.
Star players are foolproof and excel independently.
I'm willing to give Fox the excuse of "he's playing with Lindgren" because his rookie year came on a dogshit team, playing third pair minutes, with some mishmash of Staal, Hajek, Skjei, and Lindgren.I think he and Fox are both guys that need to and will be rehabilitated. Neither has been up to par this year and they are the future. Lafreniere is playing his off wing and charity PP time. Fox is playing with Lindgren. Both guys are being held back and its correctable. Should be organizational priorities.
you mis spelt IgorLaffy got the bag and then said “alright imma head out” lol
I’d switch Lafreniere and Brodzinski, I unironically think Brodzinski who is decent at puck retrievals and likes to find soft spots to shoot the puck would be a good fit on that line. Then go Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Smith. Wouldn’t touch the other lines.switch Berard and Laffy for a game.

I'm born and raised in Vancouver BC, so I have a lot of experience watching players not become the stars they are until well into their careers (Sedins year 5, Naslund year 6, bertuzzi year 8 or so, hell even JT Miller). So while I'm not holding my breath, I'm not giving up hope yet either. If he was really anything, that wouldn't have an effect.

How many of those guys were 1OA?I'm born and raised in Vancouver BC, so I have a lot of experience watching players not become the stars they are until well into their careers (Sedins year 5, Naslund year 6, bertuzzi year 8 or so, hell even JT Miller). So if a 1OA is not a superstar by year 5 he never will be but if its a 20A or a 30A there's totally a chance? How many of those guys were 1OA?
Not necessarily, but you're talking about exceptions, and they're all guys that came from a different generation, except maybe Miller, who has had personal problems. So if a 1OA is not a superstar by year 5 he never will be but if its a 20A or a 30A there's totally a chance?
Most left shot players are right-handed.Could he be right-handed? Would explain a bit…

Kreider a solid, albeit injury-ridden, prime where he averaged around 37, 38 goals every 82 games he played.Truer words have never been spoken.
Watching this team for 25+ years and I don't remember a single 1st round pick of ours that became a superstar (for us)
I guess you could argue Kreider, but his prime was very short lived and even then he was more of a PP specialist.
This organization needs to hit on a 1st round pick in the 1-10 range being a legit superstar.
Kravtsov, Andersson, Lundkvist, Miller, Kreider, Chytil, Laf, Kakko, Othmann, Schneider, Del Zotto, the list is never ending.
Half of these guys aren't even in the league and the ones that play are/were seriously mid outside of a few years of Kreider.
Othmann and Schneider still remain to be seen but both project to be reliable depth players versus serious impact players. Chytil is one bump away from retirement, obviously nobodies fault there.
Team just can't draft in the first round, man
