relax guys. you want players to stop at the first twinge of pain in spring training.

There's a difference between guys not playing through pain and having your #1 starter and starting SS missing time at the start of the season.

There's a strikeout joke to be had somewhere in this.

I met JPA once at a bar .. Nice guy. Shame he couldn't become something better.

He was good. You just fell victim to the Toronto media not teaching you how to appreciate him for his talents like showing up every day, playing through injuries even when they made him a detriment to the team, and being consistent (at striking out.)

You just don't understaaaaand.

I got 2 lol. I'm typically poor when it comes to lyrics, names, etc. I know the jams, or the players faces/styles. But alas, this quiz was not for me.
The two I got (wont say their names to ruin it for others) was mr utility that came in as a reliever, and the giant relief pitcher.

I got 15, but I also remember every one of those names except Cole Kimball.

And I'm gonna keep that up there as a gimme for whoever wants to take the quiz because that's just a cheap one.

I got 8. Genuinely surprised considering I only started tracking transactions in 2016...

Pearce at DH.

Yep!

Oddly enough, between the two of them, Morales looks like the more proficient lefty-masher at this point.

If he's going to be on the team, Morales should DH against LHP and give them a solid bat off the bench against RHP. That's it.

Travis and Granderson would be regulars in the opening day lineup and one of Solarte/Diaz at SS.

But interested to see how we fair today. I just want to see progression.

If its Severino on OD then i go with Morales at DH.

Luis Severino

If it is Tanaka then i go with Pearce.

Masahiro Tanaka

whenever I see splits like this I want to look futher at fastball/breaking ball splits.

I still think Gibbons was genius with his Smoak/Cola platoon - Smoak played against fastball pitchers, and Cola against breaking ball pitchers. Do Morales/Pearce have similar complementary splits?
