I do loves me some Sliders!

These are a lot easier than you think. Slice a load of onions thin and spread them out on a baking pan. Take a couple of pounds of lean or extra lean ground beef and press it into a slab a bit bigger than the sheet of dinner rolls and press it onto the sliced onions. Pop the pan into a 375 degree oven for 10-15 mins (don’t go longer or the beef will dry out.). While the beef is cooking, slice the sheet of 12 dinner rolls and toast the inside of the tops and bottoms. Put the bottoms on another small baking pan and cover with cheese slices. Top with the slab of beef (the onions should be stuck to the bottom). Cover the beef with more cheese slices, top with dill pickle slices and then the sheet of the bun tops and wrap in foil. Pop in a 300 degree oven for about 15 - 20 minutes. Cut into individual sliders and serve.View attachment 915551

If anyone is trying to "duplicate" the original KFC recipe, I recommend this product: 99-X
There's a long story associated with it which you can find on reddit. They sell one version which is just the spice and you have to add flour, and other version which includes the flour. Of course it's impossible to exactly duplicate the recipe without a deep fryer, but taste wise it's spot on.
My baked version: spice with flour, egg wash, spice with flour, bake.

I've owned my Big Green Egg for 20 years and for some reason I've never done a ham on it

Today I smoked a spiral cut ham with a bourbon rub and glaze and made scalloped potatoes (also first time)

Probably one of the top 10 meals I've ever made. I already can't wait for Easter lol

Gonna wait for a bit then throw the annual Christmas Eve pork butt on there for pulled pork sammiches tomorrow

Just got my smoker this year. Best hobby ever. Every man over 35 needs one!

What did you get?

If I were buying today, the ease and convenience of a Traeger would make that tempting, but man I love my BGE
I went for the convenience of the digital Materbuilt gravity feed.

We have the propane grill and was told the Traeger was kinda of a half way between the propane and a smoker like an egg or Materbuilt. But that might just be one sales guy's opinion.
