How slowly does one pour their milk for sogginess to be an issue? It takes just a few seconds.

Milk pours faster than cereal, especially flakes style cereal. This means pouring cereal second results in the cereal in the bottom of the bowl sitting in milk longer before eating than the reverse of the operations. If your top reason to pour milk first is to avoid soggy cereal, then you are doing it wrong. By it, I mean everything that is good in life.

All I’m saying brudda, if we have two bowls of cereal, one the correct style, and the other immoral style…side by side… mine would win in a taste test.

That’s just one match up the cereal first community ain’t winning

There's a place in San Clemente, Hapa J's that does a very good Kalua Pork. Their nachos are legit.

I rarely get down that way but will try it if I do. That reminds me we did find a similar place in Gardena called Auntie's Cafe. The best thing about Kono's Kalua Pork breakfast burrito is the pineapple jalapeno salsa.

Shake Shack is legit ass. Habit and In n Out are leaps and bounds better.

Also, if you guys still buy dominos and Pizza Hut rather than a mom & pops pizzeria then we have problems. If you want to know what a person thinks of you, look at what pizza they buy when you go over.

Hmmm, thanks -- i'll give it a try.

I put salsa on almost everything and go thru jars/etc. in 2-3 days. But my prior to-go was discontinued a while back and i've been searching for 1-2 years now on a new to-go salsa. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For "Flake" style cereal, just use small servings, eat 2 bowls if needed ( those flake cereals go soggy SOOOO FAST) now "grape nuts", just let those things soak, and when you think there ready , just let them soak some more.

There's a time and a place for chain pizza restaurants and that usually involves having over little children or people that are cheap skates and you're merely returning the favor. Oh and costco pizza is beyond gross.. can't believe any one buys that crap. I'd rather eat Little Caeser's. Yeah, I said it! As I mentioned before I still love Round Table as it's nostalgia for me.

With that said, we've got plenty of decent places near me. Michael's and La Parolaccia make good neopolitan style. A place that's gotten a lot of hype that i like but I think is overhyped is a place called Speakcheezy that was right behind my old house. Milana's NY squares and Milana's NY Pizza are good NY style. Little Coyote is pretty good too.

Anyone that thinks Pizza Port pizza is good needs to have their head checked. Pizza has been a hot topic with my beer league team. We got dragged to Pizza Port a few years ago playing a tournament in San Diego and I was offended quite frankly!

Anyone been to Pizzeria Bianco? We went after watching the Chef's Table episode and they had just opened the DTLA location. Chris Bianco was there and going around to all the tables. Such a nice guy and great pizza but it's definitely not cheap.

Terra Mia in Laguna Hills makes a good pie. NY style.
Lunitas Pizza in San Juan is a good sheet pan style. Detroit maybe. Anyway, high quality and not inexpensive.

RT is our favorite chain by far; the one in Lakewood runs a Monday night special 1-topping medium for $10. And I used to hate Dominoes, but their black box pizza isn't terrible, and with the kids liking their New York/Brooklyn-style-whatever, that's become a frequent family haunt.

Let’s cut to the chase here. Pizza is great and nachos always hit the spot. But, at the end of the day, chicken wings are the true food of every sports fan.

For me, I keep things simple. Air chilled party wings. Pre-separated is most convenient. No bulk frozen, salinated crap. And GTFO with any nuggets, aka boneless wings.

You can toss them right out of the package into a fry pappy for 20 mins at 400 degrees. Throw some Franks Buffalo sauce in with some butter in a sauce pot at the same time on low. Mix them shits up once you’re done with your drink of choice.

Before the pregame is over, you’re crushing 10-12 fried ass buffalo wings. F them smoked, air fried loser B’s.

Before I get to my reply, I'm open to any suggestions for anything other than Indian food in your neck of the woods. We were living in Los Altos (LB) for a year and would venture over to Los Al a bit and found a few spots but we're always looking for new stuff.

My wife loves Rance's but it's Chicago style deep dish and that's just not really my thing. I mean it's fine once in a blue moon which is generally when we get it but I wouldn't write home about it. They have other styles there but have yet to try it because what are two people going to do with more than one Chicago style pizza?

I've only had Buono's once and thought it was mediocre. It wasn't bad but nothing worth driving a few miles for when we have better options close by.

I'm not going to lie that I went through a phase of ordering Dominos late at night getting the 2 mediums for $16 and crushing an entire thin crust by myself. But agree, Round Table is where it's at as far as chains go. Straw Hat (not sure how many are left) isn't horrible either. I recently discovered that Me-n-Eds is a chain and that place isn't bad either. There's one right next to Lakewood Ice.

I will say that the guy who owns Speakcheezy is a great guy. He hangs out at the Reno Room once in a while. I met him there before he opened up and was just doing his pizza truck so we've tried to support him given we lived around the corner and only a few blocks further now. Speaking of (the world famous) Reno Room, Cocorenos has THE BEST shrimp tacos. With that said, I'll leave this here because I know Lt. Dan will get a kick out of it:



I love that Food and Music are motivating me to contribute to the board more than Kings hockey. Just a sign of the times!
