This sounds like the door is open for him leaving. Or, should I say they may NOT be looking to sign him. With Kravtsov on the horizon, he will be a cheaper/younger player pushing to be IN the top 6 regardless. Copp would be an expensive versatile 3rd/2nd liner.
They had better play their cards right. Lose Copp off season, and then if the plan is jettisoning Kravtsov at the draft or deadline, well then what?
Do you "count on" Chytil being 2C, and get a cheap 3C? I dunno.
Just hope they do.

How do you get the bolded out of that tweet? GG thinks Copp has proven that he is a top 6 player. Kravtsov has proven nothing other than he likes to run away at the first sign of adversity.

Kravtsov isn't going to play center, so he has no bearing on what they do with Copp in any case. If it isn't Copp, it will be Chytil, or they will sign someone else to fill that role. But I don't see anything in that tweet that would suggest which direction they are leaning.

GG is salty AF. He seems like a narcissistic POS who doesn't own up to his mistakes/shortcomings. It's no wonder why he got canned twice. Get this clown out of here. No accountability what so ever.
Apparently you dont remember Torts. Who even cares if he is salty.
I think he handles the media quite well, given the circumstances. NY is a different animal.

I'd love to have Motte back, but its going to be tough.

Maybe he loved it here and will take a cut, but there are going to be many teams, even good teams, teams on the upswing, etc. who are going to be willing to pay for a guy like that.

Perhaps being able to play for a team that is there right now wins out rather than chasing after the unknown (Buffalos of the world.)

He has to come in under 2.
No he doesn't. That is scraping pennies, imo. Like what Fitzy said,
ridding Nemeth & Georgiev should work, but WHO will be our back up? For all his warts, Georgiev did an admirable job but just NOT the type of teammate I would want.
Would have been funny to package their asses (Tony) and let them fight it out.

May have been posted already, but some moments at the 4:11 mark of the handshake line.

Cooper was extremely impressed by Miller, as well as some of the other young guys.

I’m more impressed he knows everyone nicknames, esp a younger player who wasnt a key player like Schneider who he called “Schneids”.

Really hard to root against Cooper.

Strome is a goner?

Probably, but my read of Drury's words is that he is going to comparison shop the available crop of centers on the market, with Strome included, and see if there's any out there who's better or if keeping Strome is the better option. Like when you're at a farmer's market and you see a bushel of apples, you're going to inspect each one, eyeing them and feeling them.

Cooper is a smug son of a bitch at times but he's hard not to like. Great coach and always gives credit to the opponents. There's a reason he's going for 3 in a row.

Still waiting on the Chris Drury Media Event until then I’m guessing we’ll get a few of these each day.
Fingers crossed.
Break up day Media Availability. Filip Chytil, Kevin Rooney, Braden Schneider and Andrew Copp.
