I don't know, but if you data gives you Jordan Martinook as the best of the "expected goals rates", you either need to fix the inputs, or fix the name.

I think it’s like the made up guy Buffalo draftedAll these years later I’m still not sure who Phillipe Paradis is.
Damn if Martinook isn't having a good year. Waiving him was one of the biggest brain moves we could do. Of course he wasn't going to be claimed. Of course this was going to help motivate him. He's playing his pants off. Not just on that sick goal last night either - he's legitimately creating chances and stifling the opposition more than I thought was possible. He's playing, dare I say, above his salary level right now.
My shoot off a cliff player this year is Stastny. I'm just not seeing it with him. Rather call up Stormbrew and put Stastny on waivers. I'd bet he would be claimed.
We could also use another 7D/8D since we've moved on from Bear and realized Coughlan is ass. We don't need a regular minutes guy, but we need an injury fill-in and a capable bottom pairing guy to fill in for De Haan's minute management. I don't think De Haan's legs have it in him to play a full 82 and then playoffs. Honestly there were also times last night where I swear De Haan put on a Pesce jersey and double shifted given how slow he was skating, but that's another story.
RE: TT...it's too bad Suzuki has been hurt these past few years.....would be about time for a call up. Any other younger forward on the Wolves worth a call up?LaJoie or Lagesson are fine as the 7/8 guys I’d say. Both with NHL experience, and I imagine they’d loom a lot better next to Chatfield on than Coghlan, as they’re both natural LDs.
Rees is off to a strong start. not that I would want to break that momentum by stapling him to the bench for most of a game.RE: TT...it's too bad Suzuki has been hurt these past few years.....would be about time for a call up. Any other younger forward on the Wolves worth a call up?
I mean that's true, but I'm not sure about MJWhen they said Jordan is better than LeBron, they were right twice.
Last 5 yearsTurbo for Tank straight up, may need a bit of retention at the deadline. I only do this though if we can re-sign Tank and he doesn't completely break the bank.
That’s a strange way to compare their production as Tarasenko was dealing with shoulder issues for 2 of those 5 seasons and only played 34 games combined.Last 5 years
Tarasenko (30 yrs old). 192 pts +/- -2
Tivo (28 yrs old). 226 pts +/- +80
sounds like a great trade….. if you want to get worse…
the old "expected by whom"
Points aren’t created equal. Tank is a top goal scorer and physical beast who drives his line’s play, Turbo is more of a passenger.Last 5 years

he has also looked good pretty much all year via the eye test
TiVo is a passenger? That’s downright insulting. Was he a passenger last night when he made mcdavid look foolish on the first goal?Points aren’t created equal. Tank is a top goal scorer and physical beast who drives his line’s play, Turbo is more of a passenger.
TiVo had that concussion season too that limited his games and points. Also having a player miss most of two seasons is another red flag in a potential trade. .86 ppg v .91 is a difference of 4 points a year, providing you play every game. And tarasenko is going to salary hit you an extra 1-2 mil per year. Yeah, the memories of Tarasenko’s good years look like a shiny new bubble to put in the lineup, but risking a maybe for a proven asset (despite this year‘s terrible start) is just bad managementThat’s a strange way to compare their production as Tarasenko was dealing with shoulder issues for 2 of those 5 seasons and only played 34 games combined.
I’d be curious to see what their ppg rates were for that time period.
Edit: looks like over the past 5 seasons Tarasenko has scored at a 0.91 ppg pace while Teravainen has scored at a 0.86 ppg pace. Tarasenko is also a multiple time 30+ goal scorer.
Am I the only one who doesn't get the Drury hype? Admittedly, I don't watch our prospects, so coming from a place of ignorance, but everything I've read about him screams "quality bottom 6er."I want to see this please...
