Also there were tons of delays in the game tonight with a fire alarm and shit going off so I watched the Minnesota replay on my phone and just skipped for Rinzel and Moore shifts. Rinzel is seriously something. We might be needing to pay more attention. This guy might be unreal. There are points in the game where it looks like he can legit just do whatever he wants.

This is so fantastic to hear. It would mean so much to our rebuild to have two legit top pairing caliber prospects. Hope he gets there.

And finally someone who could be a top guy AND mean ahh.

We don't see enough of this side of Lardis from his goal clips. I haven't been able to watch much Brantford this year but last season in Hamilton he was noticible in trying to force his way into gaps and wasn't afraid of trying to out muscle the puck off others. He just doesn't have the strength yet, if he can build it up without hindering his skating the sky is the limit.

What I love about that highlight is even though he didn't score, he drove to the net. Mike Donaghey specifically mentioned that (I can't remember if it was during the draft or in the offseason) it's something Lardis needed to work on. Getting stronger and not shy away from going to those areas. Lardis always played on the perimeter last season. Did not drive the net much, if at all. Absolutely love that he's doing that this season. He's starting to trust his strength and not play passive. I've also seen him go to the corners more too.

Master Plan:

1.Slaggerrt joins Hawks end of this season unless ND gets to Frozen Four..

2 SIGN Gabriel Seger C (Cornell 6'5 209) and Cokin Graf C/W (Quinnipiac ) C 6'21194)as free agents this spring or summer ...2 top NCAA forward targets in the free agent crop from there.

3.Draft i) Celebrini ii) Eisrrman iii) Cayden Lindstrom iv) Artyom Levshunov RD in that order deoending on our pick slot after lotto.. If we end up with a #5 overall pick or worse then consider next RD target Yakemchuk or Oarekh ...Parekh isxa smalk RD but soo good offensively ...

...I do not want small centers..rules out Helenius..or smaller wingers...rules out Catton.

I am intrigued by Nikita Artamanov RW Torpedo KHL ...hopeche might last to our TB pick but if we did not the a RD with our first selection of roubdvobexand if there still is a goidvone left for our 2nd selection in roundvone, may have to use if for a RD.....

Also possible we package our TB first with our top 2nd to move up in round one to get either Atramanov or a RD we feel would not last to our TB pick.

He definitely plays hard and is relentless.

Nazar (#91) got a good look at that one on the ice.

I read an article, not sure where, that Slaggert was producing this season now that he is healthy. He was good on an underwhelming Team USA WJC in the summer of 2022 but that did not translate to his junior year production. He looked like the usual doggedly determined Slaggert last year, but this year he seems to have more jump to his skating. He could have been playing through injuries last year.

On that 2nd goal last night, you can see that determination along the boards at the tail end of the PK. He eventually kicks the puck to Danny Nelson and is then off to the attack.

Slaggert is the kind of role player that wins games. Generally speaking, that's the type of player we need to draft more of.

Looking forward to see him play a couple games with the Hawks at the end of the season.

Rinzel isn't a lock for the USA Junior team as a 19 year old. He's playing well, but he has a lot lapses in his own defensive zone which requires quite a bit of work. So let's slow down a bit on the Pronger/Hedman comps.

I thought I made it pretty clear I was speaking towards his ceiling not what I expect him to become.
