Last season was a really good year to be really bad.I think Fantilli was better than Celebrini.
And yea, I still like Slaggert. Not a huge ceiling, but a very high floor. If he hits he's Zach Hyman.

He has a mean streak to boot.Been busy this year haven't watched anywhere near as much college hockey as I have in the past but Rinzel playing well is fantastic news. He's got every tool. Higher upside than Korchinski toolkit.
I'm not expecting it but if everything goes exactly right he's Pronger. He can do everything. He has a mean streak to boot.
I was too young to really remember Pronger in his prime.I'm not expecting it but if everything goes exactly right he's Pronger. He can do everything.
Guy won a Hart and a Norris and dragged two very flawed teams in Philly and the Oilers kicking and screaming to the SCF. He was a mean dirty SOB but man could that man play hockey.I was too young to really remember Pronger in his prime.
For a modern comp? Like give Trouba Hedman's puck skills. Not as good a skater as Hedman but enough psycho to make up for it.I was too young to really remember Pronger in his prime.
Also there were tons of delays in the game tonight with a fire alarm and shit going off so I watched the Minnesota replay on my phone and just skipped for Rinzel and Moore shifts. Rinzel is seriously something. We might be needing to pay more attention. This guy might be unreal. There are points in the game where it looks like he can legit just do whatever he wants.
We don't see enough of this side of Lardis from his goal clips. I haven't been able to watch much Brantford this year but last season in Hamilton he was noticible in trying to force his way into gaps and wasn't afraid of trying to out muscle the puck off others. He just doesn't have the strength yet, if he can build it up without hindering his skating the sky is the limit.
And it pains me to admit it but while I may have been the engineer of the Slaggert train Musto was definitely the conductor. Kevin was and had been pumping his tires.
He definitely plays hard and is relentless.
Nazar (#91) got a good look at that one on the ice.
Yup. Any Hagel fans will enjoy having Slaggert on the team.Slaggert is kinda good at everything but his motor is A++. He's a dog, and the puck is his bone.
I thought I made it pretty clear I was speaking towards his ceiling not what I expect him to become.Rinzel isn't a lock for the USA Junior team as a 19 year old. He's playing well, but he has a lot lapses in his own defensive zone which requires quite a bit of work. So let's slow down a bit on the Pronger/Hedman comps.

Hardly weird. People were going a bit overboard and it’s good to stay groundedNot to mention I don't think anyone here said Rinzel was a lock for team USA. Weird comment.
