I'm still not over Charlotte being the first one to beat Asuka. They had something special in Asuka. Yeah sure, she's still winning titles and featured prominently but back then, she had this special aura and star power that was completely destroyed by that Charlotte loss.

AEW announced their debut show in Seattle for January 4, which would seemingly make it impossible for Bryan Danielson to be at Wrestle Kingdom.

Also it sounds like they’re going to run Cow Palace in San Francisco for Revolution

" The Dragon " is coming back. :thumbu:

from si.com:

Pro wrestling will be graced with the return of a legend this winter.

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is stepping back into the ring.

An icon of the industry and widely regarded as one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time, Steamboat will wrestle for Big Time Wrestling on Nov. 27 at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Dorton Arena.

“Ricky Steamboat is one of the greatest all-time, and we’re excited to bring a legend back to the ring,” Big Time Wrestling co-owner Steve Perkins said. “Interest will be high, and ticket sales will begin today.”

Steamboat, 69, last wrestled in 2010 on the indies when he tagged with his son, Richie Steamboat, against The Dudebusters’ Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta, who is now part of the AEW roster. His last singles match took place during a WWE house show against Drew McIntyre in 2009. That was a unique stretch of time, as Steamboat also worked Chris Jericho and Sheamus during that house show loop. This all occurred right after Steamboat made his return in 2009 following a 15-year retirement at WrestleMania 25. That marked the same weekend as his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, and he teamed with Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka in a three-on-one handicap elimination match against Jericho. Steamboat put forth an outstanding performance, generating genuine excitement that built to a singles match later that month against Jericho at the Backlash pay-per-view.

Prior to that, Steamboat’s last match came without fanfare during a 1994 house show in WCW against Steve Austin. Steamboat defended the United States title for the final time that night before retiring due to a back injury.

from today's pwinsider.com:

Gabe Sapolsky is back with World Wrestling Entertainment, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple WWE sources.

PWInsider.com is told that Sapolsky will be working on creative but we have not confirmed whether it is for the main roster or he is returning to WWE NXT. Sapolsky is the latest member of the Triple H regime who was let go back in January 2022 to officially return to the company, following Ryan Katz and Road Dogg.

Sapolsky broke into the business working for the original ECW, publishing their program and eventually becoming Paul Heyman's assistant.

Sapolsky was the first booker for Ring of Honor and founded Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE (the latter of which WWE later purchased) before going to work for WWE as a consultant for the NXT brand. He had been working on the creative side of NXT and producing segments for that brand before his WWE exit last January when pretty much all of Triple H's NXT team was discarded.

Since leaving WWE, Sapolsky had been dabbling in the NFT world.

Ain't nobody talking about worker's rights or unions now... With WWE, this would've been considered terrible.
You never fail to lick the boot Jussi! I think there should be nuance to this, it isn't a black and white thing. No company is going to just allow any and all talent to just break a contract as they please. That would essentially make contracts worthless. I think if a company isn't using and has no active plans for a wrestler they should be let go if they want to go though. If you are actively booking someone on TV, have plans for them and they just want out to switch to the other company? In what world does that make sense.

If he wants to go, something should be worked out.

What WWE was putting people on ice and then not letting them do anything. That's not the case here, but if he wants out he shouldn't be forced to stay.

Yeah, the whole independent contractor thing is bad in the whole business but it seems like there really isn't enough support to change it.

SRS threw a bit of a tantrum, had a tweet talking about receipts that he since has deleted, and now reddit is pointing out how he likes to DM and harass critics on there (it's already known he does this on twitter).

Just admit you got this one wrong

As for contracts. Fans need to be consistent. If someone isn't happy where they are, they should be allowed to leave. Doesn't matter which company they are contracted to.

Someone like Black for instance it might be important to them to be able to be on the road with their wife.

Tony does have a right to be defensive about WWE making overtures to his wrestlers though, I don't blame him for that even if I don't agree with a No Release policy.

He should be careful how far down the tampering road he wants to go since it wasn't that long ago Jeff Hardy's contract was tampered with to get him out of WWE
