I wonder if politics reared its ugly head in the locker room and is causing some divide.

Even last year during the season I never felt the team was all that close. Things changed in the playoffs for the better, but i don't know, maybe there is locker room issues. Maybe every one is hurt and giving it all they have, but they dont have anything left to give, who knows.

We know the team is better than what they've shown, but the 4 nations break broke something.

They said the team is super close and it was reported that McDavid nixed the Ceci trade at the TDL last year because they wanted to win it with the guys they had.

I highly doubt politics is dividing a professional sports team. If athletes can’t put team mates,‘s political opinions aside then they’re f***ing donkeys.

People are acting like Vegas, the perfect team didn't suck ass for the last 2 months and lost a 10 point on the division.

McDavid is supposed to be the best player in the world and a difference maker, makes 14 mil and will probably be the highest paid player in the NHL after next year.

Skinner is a 24 year old goalie, who was thrust into the spotlight after Campbell shit the bed, makes 2mil.

The situations are not the same, nor are the expectations. McDavid has been utter shit for 2 months. He both need to be better, but McDavid carries more weight.

He got an extra 30 or 40 assists that year just for being on the ice when Mcdavid went end to end all night while consistently beating goaltenders 5 hole with his shot
