Don’t agree. I’d rather one night, your top feuds and top stories. 4-5 hour show.

This whole “everyone needs to be on the card” bullshit needs to stop. I’d rather one show with the best card possible rather than a watered down 2 night show featuring catering geeks in matches.

Arguably the best Wrestlemania ever went 4 hours.

Yeah let's f*** all the little guys out of their biggest payday of the year, THAT should do wonders for morale!!! And why have two shows with gigantic crowds when you can have one? Seriously why would the company want to make more money?

Relax. I like a one night PPV better than two. It’s that simple.

I must have struck a nerve here, I guess.

Agreed 100%! Wrestlemania should be the Super Bowl and All Star Game of sports entertainment. Make it a pinnacle, and leave the fans wanting more.
Two nights leaves the fans wanting less. Thats not how you market your product.

That was a little more fly into a rage-y than necessary

You don't have to stay up the whole night to watch it. It's different for us Europeans. Two night Mania and especially Saturday PLEs are much better for us.
Sweet. I still don’t like it.

I understand it, but I still will always think one 4-5 hour show is the way to go. Having two 4+ hour shows Saturday and Sunday just kind of takes away one of my weekend nights. I don’t know, it is what it is…

I just hate watering down the cards, personally. I want the event saved for the best feuds, with the best possible matches.

Again, I understand why they do it the way they do, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it.

.I always liked the idea of everyone is on the card but they should just put them in the Andre battle royal and make that actually mean something. They've never portrayed it as a meaningful victory.

I've had a few WrestleMania parties at my house but stopped doing them in this 2 night era

They do 2 nights and still can’t get everyone on the card. If they did 1 4-hour show now there would hardly be any wrestling with all the pomp and circumstance and celebrities.

4 hour main card, 1 hour pre show. Throw the battle Royal on that like usual.

8 match card x 20 minute match average = 160 minutes of wrestling. It gives you over an hour of filler too.

As a fan I’d rather 1 night but I don’t fault them for chasing the dollar and doing 2.

I would be super pissed if months in advance I bought tickets for night 1 and then night 2 had all the better matches.

Tag titles x2
US
IC
WWE
Universal
Raw Womens
SD Womens
Womens Tag
Major mens feud non title
Major womens feud non title
Battle royal

I’m at 12 matches, but they could easily get 2 on a preshow and cut down on some filler to get it all into 1 night. Of course then they’d have to cool off on the recaps which I know is hard for them. This also assumes that all title programs are worth a wrestlemania spot, and that’s not always the case

It can be done though.

This.

Not to mention, making the Wrestlemania card used to be a goal and a reward for the best workers. Sorry, but not everyone deserves to be on the show just because they are in the company.

Kind of like everyone having a belt now, take away the exclusivity of the rewards and you get guys who aren't as hungry and a worse product.

I'd like to see it back to one night but it's gotta be longer than a regular ppv. Making it a 5 hour main show and 1 hour preshow is the best route imo.

The 7-8 hour shows wouldn’t be so bad if it was 2-9 instead of 5-12, especially on Sunday

WWE is a content provider. That is why NBCU pays them roughly the GDP of Belgium: Produce content for Peacock. The only other revenue to be made is essentially ticket sales/merch. A 2 night Mania accomplishes two goals:

1) Provide content for people paying you lots of money.
2) Get a second gigantic gate/merch sales.

If you were WWE why would you not do that?

Comcast, NBC Universal/Peacock parent company, reported earning recently. Peacock lost over 400 million dollars the previous quarter and subscribers were flat. They are paying one billion to WWE over five years, so 200 million per year, 50 million per quarter. At some point Peacock should be profitable or they will have to shut it down. NBCU was profitable and maybe Comcast has interest in WWE as an entity however the Peacock streaming service has questions moving forward long term.

NBC's major issue is they just don't have good reasons for people to subscribe outside of Olympic season.

They are way behind in high engagement original content compared to Warner or Amazon for example and they still have work to do on the live sports front.

Wrestling is niche, it's not going to bring in tons of subscribers and it doesn't help that Peacock has been a step down quality wise from the old WWE Network app.
