from today's pwinsider.com:

Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows will no longer be under contract to Impact after tonight's TV taping in Louisville, Kentucky, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.

The duo signed a multi-year deal with Impact after exiting WWE in July 2020, debuting at that year's Slammiversary, sparking a new chapter for the promotion at the time.

While Gallows and Anderson will be contractually free, they are expected to be appearing for New Japan Pro Wrestling. We are told they are have also commited to working additional Impact dates if and when they fit around their New Japan commitments, so they are expected to appear for Impact going forward, including August's Chicago events.

As of tomorrow, however, Gallows and Anderson would be 100% free and clear to take offers and/or sign with any other promotion, should a deal be made.

If someone is stealing protein powder getting paid pretty decently that feels like a red flag for substance or gambling issues. Don't think he ends up in prison, probably gets kicked out of the country permanently in exchange for the charges being dropped. This was his last chance, his career is officially over after this.

Hell baby
Elgin is possibly the biggest scumbag wrestler that’s still active. Stealing protein powder is probably the *best* thing he’s done recently

Guy was such an indie darling a decade ago, sad to see his career spiral like this but he did it to himself. Back to construction you go champ.

Jonathan Gresham has apparently asked for his release from ROH / AEW.

from cagesideseats.com:

According to a report from Fightful Select, Jonathan Gresham asked to be released by AEW/Ring of Honor prior to the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view (PPV) just last night (Sat., July 23, 2022) in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Gresham, who lost the ROH world championship to Claudio Castagnoli in the PPV opener, was apparently upset over a “lack of communication” leading to the show. He also reportedly took issue with the amount of time they were given for their title match. It all combined to create a general feeling that he was being disrespected.

A meeting with Tony Khan apparently included Gresham cussing him out.

Gresham signed with AEW just months ago, having been the final world champion for ROH before the promotion was bought by Khan. If his wish is granted, Fightful says he’s will be done with pro wrestling for the time being, at least after he finishes up some other commitments.

As of now, there has been no comment from AEW or Khan on the matter.

Yeah, I listened to the podcast and Cornette was just speculating based on how things have worked in the past. It is really just common sense.
Cornette just doing Cornette things.

If it's true and Brock actually left, I would have assumed a phone call from Vince would be the remedy to get him back, even if it's just to get across the finish line at Summerslam.

And even if Brock was pissed at first, he won't throw away millions because Vince left. He won't breach his contract. If he did leave on the spot, he was probably just frustrated in the moment and reacted emotionally.

I attended Rock v Cena II at MetLife, and while the main event was predictable garbage, I was treated to Punk v Taker which made the show worth the 100 bucks to me. Tailgating with the crew prior to the show was a ton of fun as well. Philly is another 90 minutes down the road for me. I'll happily do that trip, as long as we can get a couple hotel rooms for the night.

Of course a 2 night show complicates the matter

Ahhh I was hoping for the end of these 2 night WrestleManias.
It’s never happening. Ever.

Return to Philly for Wrestlemania is way overdue. Surprised it ended up being a milestone show.
