Lost in all this is Bryan Danielson winning the Bryan Danielson award for best technical wrestler.

I get that it was named after he "retired" but i can't help but laugh and think of that stupid meme of Obama awarding himself the Nobel Prize.

Just read the winners list. Disagree with a couple of them. The buckshot lariat won best finisher. It's an okay move but not as a finisher.

And Moxley's book won best book and that book was a piece of shit.

I absolutely hate the buckshot lariat as a championship level finisher. Hate it. And I am a big Page guy.

I wish set up moves would win matches from time to time. Deadeye is one of them, deep six is great, blue thunder bomb, etc

You can’t convince me the “neutralizer” is a finisher either. Rather Cesaro use the pop up uppercut thing that looks like a million bucks.

I always thought that about Goldberg's spear. I don't remember him ever finishing a match with it even though it's the best looking spear other than Rhyno's gore.

Turns out Lashley needs shoulder surgery after being hurt at the Royal Rumble. If you remember they did like 50 suplexes in that match, and they changed how Lashley was taking them

Sorry if this is a spoiler but the event is over. I read Jay White turned on G.O.D on the impact ppv. Seems like a major Bullet Club angle on a show not many people watch. BC is pretty stale at this point, seems like Jay is aligning more with the elite

They've been teasing this for a while since Jay can't get to Japan. Especially since House of Torture started. The guys who've actually been over there have been saying Evil is the real leader, Tama especially.

Wonder is Jay just aligns with The Elite or if we see some guys choose sides. You'd have to think Chris Bey aligns with Jay, at least. Would think the Good Brothers may join him too.

House Of Torture is the single worst thing in all of pro wrestling right now, even worse than anything WWE is doing.

I still have to listen to the interview but Dave and Garrett Gonzalez had Kenny Omega on and I did listen to Dave talk about it. As usual Kenny talked in detail about a lot of things, such as his injuries (he still needs hernia surgery before he returns) and having vertigo. They also talked about Cody and how his vision of AEW was different than Kenny and the Bucks but it is still ultimately Tony’s vision, and the big difference seems to be that Cody was very much about having a wrestling war with WWE and everyone else was just worried about getting the company off the ground and putting on a good product. Which I guess makes things a bit more interesting if he does in fact go back. Like I said though, I still have to listen to the whole thing, may do it by tomorrow.

edit: apparently the interview isn’t listed yet so I guess that’s why i didn’t get it yet

With all of the rumours going on about Stone Cold coming back to wrestle at WM against Kevin Owens how would you like the match to play out?

Stone Cold wins in a squash match to protect him from getting injured? Or have Stone Cold put Owens over and that can catapult Owens into being in the title picture?

Because of the Indy friendly roster, I was hoping aew would inject this into their matches. It used to be that wrestlers would gauge the crowd, maybe leave a false finish in, and end the match when the time was right…not always when the finisher happened.

it’s a no win situation. Owens gains nothing from beating a hobbled and aged Austin…but Austin probably wins a very quick brawl if it were to happen.

i remember EVIL in ROH as Watanabe back in the day. Pretty shocked to see him in a major role these days, I don’t find him to be all that impressive.

Although TNA had Okada for a time and I definitely didn’t see that superstardom coming either lol

i think the only thing that makes sense is you job owens out to Austin quickly. Like you said KO doesn’t gain a lot from beating a 60 year old with a bad neck. And you aren’t bringing Austin back to job him out immediately. And you can’t have the match go for very long. Basically would book themselves into a corner if they make that match. Maybe you can involve Zayn somehow?

good thing owens has that contract now at least. Probably doesn’t care about his booking at this point, and I don’t blame him. Get paid while you can.

Owens goes to the ring, says it's embarrassing he isn't on the card, he deserves a wrestlemania moment, glass breaks, he takes a stunner, austin does the beer thing, then the show goes on
