Dude you just told me two weeks ago that they would never have Drew/Punk be a brawl and a beatdown because they advertised the match, and are now flipping to "They'd leave Cody Rhodes off the Wrestlemania card entirely after winning the Royal Rumble."

That's like saying they'd leave Cena off the card in the late 2000s early 2010s because "Rock is the real star".
They never advertised Cody vs. anybody

Cody was literally front and center on early posters, won the Royal Rumble (Which has led to a title match at Mania all but what, one time that I think they did it at EC?) and was presumed to be on the card when ticket sales opened.

Stop being ridiculous. Anybody buying a ticket was well within reason to believe the #1 babyface in the company would be on the card, just like your argument that Drew/Punk had to happen as a match because it was advertised.

They were not going to leave Cody off Wrestlemania. They would've had two whole months to slap together a bullshit match before leaving Cody off Wrestlemania. Hell, they would've done Solo vs. Cody before leaving Cody off the card.

They could’ve put something together, but they still didn’t tell you what he was doing.

Yeah, there's a wide gap between "Cody will be on the show" and "Cody wont be on the show"...
Maybe they decided he would have a role later on, or they actually were going to do something.

All of that wouldn’t be an issue if Dwayne had a clue what was going on and they decided to have Punk win the Rumble.

I wonder what that means for Forbidden Door. Unsure if going back to England in 2026 would be wise if WWE has a two night WrestleMania that year. Last year if felt like Wembley was the focus more than the the build however this year there has been quality build for multiple matches. The name "All In" doesn't justify stadiums but the right card certainly can feel like it's worthy of a stadium.

Gonna bet there was never a moment where they decided he was gonna be off the card entirely.

The possibility only existed for such a short time that the only real way to know is if someone outright comes out and says what the plan they had in mind was. It’s basically the time between booking the end of the Rumble (which I believe the reporting was that it was not decided until late as Dwayne only just arrived on the scene), and the realization that Punk wasn’t making Wrestlemania. It may have only been hours, or a few days ant most, and that’s not enough time to hash out a concrete plan.

The only real thing they could’ve done in that scenario was to do a 5-minute match with Cena.

The simple out was to do Cody/Seth, which was literally mentioned as the plan when Cody said he wasn't going against Roman.

They would've just kept Drew with Sami which was the supposed plan once Punk returned.

We’re talking before Punk got hurt.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Vince could (likely is) very well be a scumbag human being who takes dumps on women and forces them into sexual intercourse with he and others, then tries to hide it.

Vince could also be someone who treated wrestlers well, always ensured they got paid, and had good-to-great working and personal relationships with them.

The first doesn't diminish the second.

Now, I think his "if you're suffering you should be suffering all the time, right?" Iine is insanely idiotic. However, the rest plus JBL's bit is believable. He probably was good to these guys.

So apparently Finn Balor suggested changing the new Judgment Day's name into...Street Trash. However, after fan backlash at the reports, WWE has decided not to go along with it. However, the name Street Trash will be incorporated into Judgment Day some way. Apparently merch has been designed and made already.

Terrible idea. Maybe they'll just name the Balor/McDonough tag team Street Trash.
