I think that's incredibly easy to pull off

It's petty not to do it. The only explainable reason you wouldn't do it is that you don't want to set the precedent of allowing people to cross over... But at the same time, it's a 64 year old man who is never wrestling again going to support another 64 year old man in his last match. Who cares?

It's not like you're sending Rhea Ripley to be aired on AEW TV supporting a high profile Buddy Matthews match. It's Kevin Nash in 2024 lol.

EDIT: And what's funny is, if I recall correctly, both Buddy and Andrade were at the HOF last year.

How hard do fans think Nash pushed to get WWE to approve going to Revolution? If there is no money involved you can be damn sure Nash didn't push too hard.

Conversely, if this was super-duper important to Nash to be at Sting's final show, I can't see his buddy HHH saying no.

I mean it was important enough that he publicly commented on asking WWE to go and being told no lol he wasn't looking for a pay day he wanted to be in the building.

So let's say instead of Steve Borden's final match at Revolution it was Shawn Michaels, do you think HHH is like "sorry Kev, can't let yah go to the AEW show, cause you know, you got a Legends deal".

Trying to figure out how to link to it (failing miserably so far), but Cena had a fantastic interview with Howard Stern (I believe this morning?). Caught a conversation about how his feud with Rock started and ended and that they're currently close friends.

Sounds like he might have stepped in it WRT the Vince story, also apparently said he never used any performance enhancers

Well this could either be great or complete trash. :dunno:

from thewrap.com:

Seven Bucks Productions is developing a project based on the life of the legendary American professional wrestler Ric Flair, TheWrap can exclusively reveal. Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia will produce for Seven Bucks alongside Misher Films’ Kevin Misher, with whom they most recently collaborated with on MGM’s wrestling-themed “Fighting with My Family,” which starred Florence Pugh and Lena Headey.

One of the most celebrated professional wrestlers of all time, with a career spanning more than 50 years and virtually every major wrestling federation around the world, Flair is a 16-time world champion and the first wrestler to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. He’s also a member of the NWA Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.

“As a kid who grew up in professional wrestling, I idolized, ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair,” Johnson said in a statement. “He was a hero to me. And once I broke into the wrestling business and began to spill my own sweat and blood – my reverence for Ric turned to respect. Because I realized just how rare and impossible it is to disrupt the wrestling business, culture and truly change the game – and that’s exactly what Ric Flair did. This project is personal, and we can’t wait to tell his unbelievable story. As always, thank you for the house, Ric.”

In the 1970s, Flair would adopt his flamboyant “Nature Boy” persona, which would eventually lead to him wrestling another wrestler named Buddy Rogers who had used the name earlier in the career. This, of course, led to the Battle of the Nature Boys in 1979. In 1991, Flair signed with what was then known as the World Wrestling Federation, where he achieved an unheard of level of exposure and success.

In April 1995 he had a match in North Korea (yes seriously) that garnered the largest crowds in professional wrestling history – 150,000 and 190,000. There is much to mine from this man’s life, including the fact that he’s still wrestling at the age of 74, currently signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Ric tweeted ( x'd or whatever the hell you are supposed to call it now ) the following today:

R.I.P. Ole Anderson.

One of the best heels in the history of the business

I don't remember if it was on Schiavone's or Cornette's pod, but one recently told a story of when Vince showed up after buying out the tv rights on TBS, and Vince tried to meet with Ole, and Ole told him to Go F himself, so a few weeks later Vince returned with Linda thinking it would soften Ole's demeanor, and after Vince introduced her, Ole told him that she could Go F herself too. I may have the exact wording off but I think it's pretty close

That was on one of Cornette's recent podcasts(one of the last 2). I got a good chuckle out of that story lol.

Here's a great video containing my favourite Ole interview as a member of the Horsemen. This was Ole's triumphant return after that dirty cheater ( and I hate cheaters in wrestling ) Dusty Rhodes broke his ankle which put Ole on the sidelines for a few months. The interview is at the end of this video and I love how somebody felt it was necessary to bleep out " dead and buried ".
