I mean like Nakamura was going strait to main eventing...both companies have their fumbles, let's not act like wwe is without fault here

Nakamura's a weird example considering, since Triple H took over, he's probably been the best presented "English-limited" WWE talent in 20 some years. Sadly, he's basically just been there to get heat on Rollins and Cody.

Also weird criticism considering Japanese Women hold three of the four women's belts.

I will give you the women part, but I am leaning that it may change relatively soon after the drama of stardom is in the open and that in typical wwe ways they put belts on ppl to show possible free agents that they are totally behind them until they're not...time will tell for me

Nak hasn't been treated as a legit threat...a couple cool looking videos and then being an afterthought in the ring

Nakamura is a weird case because he seems to be coasting on his on accord too. I don't think he really came to WWE to have a major star push. It seems he just wanted good money, a decent spot on the card, and the ability to surf and not work a style that destroys his body as much.

It was a missed opportunity on all ends I think.

WWE largely handles Joshis better. Asuka being the obvious one as she is one of the most decorated wrestlers male or female in company history. That's with limited English and the fact even her Japanese is hard to understand because she has such a heavy Osaka accent.

I'm not sure card placement was as big a reason here for Okada then the more obvious one where Tony offered more money and he has more friends working in AEW.

Mercedes, Bayley, Naomi, and Brit Baker were all at the super bowl together.

More proof that tribalism is largely a fan thing (and management a bit) then it is a worker thing. Most of these folks are friends.

Honestly, I think the one of the only people actually working for either company that cares is Tony lol. Most of the boys, agents, production team, etc. are just happy to have an alternative that can actually compete financially and drive up the market.

I think that's a lot of the reason Jinder Tweet/Deleted Tony. Yeah, make fun of him, but no need to make HOOK collateral damage. He didn't do anything.

Random theory I read that kinda makes sense is that part of the reason they're suddenly referring to Triple H as "Paul 'Triple H' Levesque" on TV, is so that if and when Stephanie returns to the company, it's not as jarring that they refer to her as Stephanie Levesque.

Which is kinda unfortunate really. The kids have to bear the burden of their Dad being a f***ed up freak.

I think it was Cornette and Brian Last that brought up an interesting topic when this all came up. How the f*** do you ever highlight the Attitude Era anymore? Vince was a major player in all that, and was pretty much tied at the hip to Austin's rise and peak.

If you "Erase" Vince like you "Erased" Benoit, you pretty much wipe out 3-4 years of the WWE at its highest point. I don't know that you can actually do that. I think, at that point, you'd just have to preface Vince content with a disclaimer of some sort that you're not promoting him but he's a major part of the company's history that is relevant to other characters.

That’s not the product they’re presenting anymore so it really doesn’t matter as much as guys like that think.

Meltzer becoming completely clueless as to what goes on in these companies could make this year something to remember.
