Tony's biggest mistake is not establishing any order from the start lol. (And continuing not to as things evolved)

Punk shouldn't have to be the one to go tell Jungle Boy you're not doing a spot with real glass. Tony should've be the f***ing boss instead of his BFF and told him, "I'm paying you, you're not doing it." Similarly, Tony shouldn't have been cow-towing to Punk saying who was and wasn't allowed at Collision, to include his head of talent relations.

Firing him after Brawl Out was likely not an option. Legally, firing a guy because he got into a fight with 3 guys angrily busting into his locker-room isn't going to go well. They came to him. They outnumbered him. Even if he and Ace did more damage, those two factors are in their favor.

During AEW when he was sledgehammering his throne, or before AEW?

That matters considering the conversation is about AEW's hypothetical non-existence.
Punk shouldn't have been fired because of the fight. That shit has happened in wrestling locker rooms since wrestling has been a thing. Punk should have been fired for the presser where he just openly buried the entire company and the product he was supposed to be representing. Tony definitely does deserve blame in not putting a stop to the BS faster but the stuff with JB....Punk is a grown ass man he isn't 12. He can take the blame for that one lol.

How many times has it happened by multiple company executives ganging up on one guy nursing a serious arm injury?

... Because that's how Punk's lawyers are going to spin it lol.

For right or wrong, the argument would be "They fired my client after he got attacked by three EVPs". Tony's probably losing that legal battle.

He could have paid him out then lol Punk isn't going to start a legal battle over getting paid out his contract to sit at home on timeout. Your versions of Brawl Out are liking extremely flattering to Punk as well. From all accounts it was mostly a Bucks-Punk and Ace Steel brawl with Omega trying to grab the dog and ending up getting bite by Steel lol but we will likely not know literally what happened due to NDA's for a long ass time. End of the day Punk doing what he did in that presser showed the world he didn't respect a single thing in that company and you say a lot that Tony isn't a boss and this is one scenario where I agree with you...he needed to show the rest of the boys in the back that doing that shit won't fly. Pandering to him after the fact only fed the ego that is Phil Brooks.

Dr. Google: Most people can participate in sports-specific training about three months after surgery, with a full return to sports at four to six months.

Cannot comment on accuracy of Dr. Google or if MJF has partial or full tear. So he's going to drop the title to Joe at the PPV? Kind of shitty for fans if MJF requires surgery. Usually AEW is pretty good with injury news kept in-house. I don't know. It would be one thing if MJF truly has a torn labrum but no one knew then he loses at the PPV, gets an extra beat down from someone, and disappears for a few months. If he is in the four to six month recovery situation then news of his injury coming before the PPV is rough. They would be better off for him to relinquish the belt and have Joe fight someone else.

Actually, isn't there some AEW precedent for an interim champion? The Thunder Rosa saga. Can't recall any others. So have Joe fight someone for the interim title.

Yeah I'm surprised they wouldn't go the interim route and just do the unification or whatever they call it when MJF heals up

All of Cody's "family" are going to slowly follow him. Dustin and Ricky Starks will be next.

Andrade is posting disgruntled shit again too
Ricky is probably the only lose out of that group and he has honestly made it so transparent he is bouncing there is no point in pushing him to the very top of the card at this point. I actually think the most likely to stick around long term is Dustin.

I like Ricky, but he seems like a one trick player...not a bad thing, because plenty of ppl have made a LOT of money that way.

He mails in a lot of matches imo

Rob Viper on Twitter put it best: Tony NEEDS to fire Andrade because the worst thing you can have in a locker room is a malcontent. It's not like the guy would be some great loss, Rush is a million times better anyways.

I think QT is a bigger loss than anyone is letting on. As a wrestler and on screen personality, a total JAG. But behind the scenes, as a mentor, writer/production guy, isn’t he supposed to be a great guy to work with?

Also surprised he would quit. That’s telling as well

Was there not an interim champ when Phil was home hurt as always?
