Checking into the Syr-WV game late, and from an uninvolved viewer, this doesn't seem so bad without Grier. And as I paused to put the kid to sleep, the game went from 18-17 WV to 34-18 Syr and the game does look a bit more lopsided.

Iowa State is going to be good next year. I know they lost against Wazzu but their QB Purdy is a true freshman. They have one of the better defenses in the Big 12 and more importantly Matt Campbell is staying. I could see them winning 10 games next year.

When he was hired, Wolverine fans thought that he was going to lead them to the Promised Land. He's getting big money to win and that's not happening. You have to wonder how much longer he's going to get before people start to think about moving in a different direction.

They’re not firing him. He’s not achieving their lofty goals but you can say that for a lot coaches at big programs around the country. I think he’s overrated but they’re still better off with him.

The problem with Harbaugh is his offense is so archiac. He doesn’t throw the ball enough & spread teams out. He’s still trying to play football in a telephone booth when everybody else has moved on from that. His teams are talented enough to impose their will on 9-10 teams on their schedule in a good year but it’s the other teams where he gets exposed.
