A lot of shake up yesterday. Cap'n was the only person to go perfect and Cody, Renberg, Normand and LOD had rough days.

They didn't deserve to be there, but I still completely understand why they had to be from a business standpoint.

I'd put Georgia in there as well.
If Hurts doesn't pull that SEC championship game out of his @$$, Alabama would have to pray its way into the final four. After the game was over, Saban said that he wouldn't relish playing Georgia again and he wasn't kidding or being nice to the Dogs. They're good and belonged in the final four over ND or OK.

On their day Georgia could beat anybody. I know Tua was hurt but it took everything they had to beat them.

Georgia had to beat Alabama obviously to get in. They were not going to put a 2 loss team in the final 4.
If Georgia didn’t get stomped by LSU I think they would of been in. With 1 loss I would take them over Oklahoma. Barely

I agree and that's why I'd like to see the playoffs expanded to 8 teams with the 5 conference champions getting an automatic bid plus 3 at large.

As ridiculous as it would be you would've had Northwestern and Pitt fans engaged until the end of the season. Heck the only way some teams will ever make the playoffs is if they go on a run and win the Conference. Plus IMO a conference championship should matter.

As far as Bama goes I really can't see the committee putting a 12-1 Oklahoma in over a 12-1 Bama. I think win or lose Bama was in unless they got smoked.

College football won’t be in the least bit interesting in terms of who’s the best until Saban retires.
In this environment what he's doing is unprecedented. There's still haves and have nots but the field is much more level than it used to be.

I don't think it's barely. If both Bama and Georgia were undefeated and they played the game they did both are in IMO. There's too many coaches on the committee, not that that's bad, who value defense and how hard it is to play 'Good Defense' nowadays.

If only Notre Dame wasn’t so “prestigious” and joined a conference (like they are in every other sport) this would have been the ACC championship and we wouldn’t have to deal with this.
I'm feeling a little Notre Dame angst coming through, I like it:thumbu:

I think it would be. Oklahoma lost one game. A nuetral site game to Texas by 3 points. Maybe Georgia gets in one loss. But it would of not been a slam dunk

A little off topic but this crap with Verizon and ESPN is ridiculous. If I miss Georgia stomping Texas on Tuesday because they're having a contest to see who has the biggest d!ck I will be extremely perturbed.

There always has been but there’s so much exporsure on recruits now it’s hard for a talented kid to just slip through the cracks completely.

Saban’s been cognizant of the changes around the game both off & on the field to this point so that’s helped him from taking a fall like previous older legendary coaches.

He changed his offense, when his team slipped to 5-6 in recruiting rankings last year he loaded up on some young top recruiters on his staff.
