Whaa, that's why he didn't go there?

Who knows but that was one reason I believe at least from his side. I ultimately just think he blew up & more so started getting a lot attention down south.

He wasn’t really considered a big player when Penn State offered him & he eventually committed. He tore up the camp circuits in the spring/summer heading into his senior year & that was basically it.

Apparently Nabulsi has something coming momentarily, so I guess we’ll find out soon.

36 hours before NSD. That's some ****ty timing on the part of Fields. But now a lot of UGA beats can't confirm the story, so Wolken may have jumped the gun. Maybe.
I wouldn't worry about the Georgia beats Kirby can get the word out to the people that matter. It may screw you a little this year but you got another scholarship to use and there's still time for Kirby to work some magic. Heck maybe that gives him a scholarship to use the next cycle that gets a player you might have missed on.

A lot of these guys are divas now but he seems especially bad.

Wonder if this was a case of Fields committing to UGA to partially appease his parents. Maybe he had his heart set on Penn St., but the folks said no.
Likely the other way around. I think his old man wanted him to pursue a place with early playing time. I think the pressure to stay home from those around him and the opportunity play with in-state kids is what got him to UGA.

ESPN now reporting that he's only exploring his options. Not a confirmed transfer. Looks like a leverage deal to get the starting job or he's moving on.

Just say no. There's no way this is going to end well if he's using a transfer as leverage.

He’s got a consult with Thomas Mars set up. They’re going to push it.

Like LoD said, I have no idea what the grounds could be.

The attorney that got all the Ole Miss transfers?

Probably the incident surrounding the UGA baseball player that was filmed using the n-word directed at Fields during a game.

I think there was a lot of pressure for him to stay down south the whole time. Even before Georgia started surging late that year Florida State, Florida, Auburn, etc. were all gunning for him.

Penn State has little to no history down south. Beyond the scandal Franklin had to essentially start from scratch with building national perception for football beyond the Mid-Atlantic & Midwest.

I really don't think Fromm is all that great. That being said you can't really bench him with how well the program has done under him.

I enjoy the ncaa looking like feckless assholes. They rolled over to the ole miss players, abdicated moral/actual high ground in administration bad behavior scenarios, and if they decide to make a stand against Fields, it'll be a spectacular show of ineptitude. They just gave emmeret (sp) a contract extension. They deserve to be considered fools.

Zach Harrison is signing with Ohio State tomorrow.

I think Penn State picks up 4* RB Noah Cain tomorrow as he’s one for sure making a decision & signing this signing period.

All & all a good class that could get into the top 10 again. Their main foot print wasn’t loaded with elite talent this year so they needed to pretty much go perfect which they didn’t with guys like Antonio Alfano & Lewis Cine going south.

The region sets up better next cycle for elite talent with guys like Bryan Breese & Julian Fleming who are probably top ten players overall & more top 50-100 kids behind them.

Cine going to Texas for his senior year killed all of PSU's momentum. The big southern schools were able to dedicate a regional recruiter to him and he quickly looked elsewhere.

Breese is an animal. Every major program is going full tilt on him.

Rumors circulating that Fields' father has already contacted Ryan Day about a commitment if his son is guaranteed the starting spot. Um... what? What makes this guy think his son should be gauranteed a starting spot at any P5 school, let alone a top 5 overall program?

The more that comes out, the more I'm glad that everyone is moving on. I don't even think its Justin calling the shots. His old man seems to be making the decisions.
