If Columbus is indeed wanting Defensive help, I would seriously Consider.

Muzzin or A-Mart for Gabo.

That is a trade off I can live with.

Cause Manchester has Bods, or Shultz.

Williams was never going anywhere, it was only hack/out to lunch bloggers who were saying he was.

There is no scenario that made sense for Williams to get moved.

You don't trade guys like Williams.

Pretty much this. Williams will resign with the Kings at a lower cap hit and likely retire here. Lombardi gave him a second lease on life when it looked like he was made of glass. He's an important vocal veteran leader on this team.

The same can be said for Matt Greene. Despite all the injury issues he was a core part of the culture change. I really haven't given much credence to any trade rumor involving Greene.

Any of the bottom six I can see traded, prospects (sans Toffoli) I can see traded, picks of course. Mitchell would be a stronger possibility to be traded than Greene, IMO. But for better or worse, the veteran guys that have been here for years Lombardi is just unwilling to part with.

I can see Stoll/Williams/Greene all retiring Kings. I hope the Kings hire Stoll as a coach to teach Faceoff's. and Strength training ( Stoll is a gym rat).

To summarize, Schneider & Luongo were traded for a 1st round pick (Bo Horvat), Jacob Markstrom and (reportedly) Shawn Matthias #cantmakeitup

@nielsonTSN1260: Penner traded on pancake day and now Luongo and Thomas are teammates. Best. Day. Ever.

Mitchell is actually playing though, Greene is not. No way the Kings trade Mitchell before they trade Greene, unless someone made a bizarre offer for Mitchell.

As for Greene, everything you mention he did in the past, right now he is a 30 year old #7 defenseman making pretty good money on an expiring contract. If the difference between affording and not affording a guy like Ehrhoff was Greene's cap space I could easily see him moved for a pick. Not sure Greene is a guy who is going to age well, that step everyone loses in their 30's is going to hit him pretty hard, not exactly the most mobile guy.

And the city is going nuts lol

@StacyLymber: Frozen foods section? #fire >RT @evalois: Dispatch from Vancouver: Everyone in grocery store is on their phone right now. NOT EVEN KIDDING.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: That's awesome.

AND They're retaining 15% of Luongo's salary.

The Sedins are done, their time as premier players is over.

They will still be productive players, but they are not going to carry a team to the playoff's.

So the Nucks are in tough.

I am a huge critic of Markstrom and have been for some time. Kid just isn't there in terms of a high caliber NHL goaltender.

He is going to get mauled in Vancouver if they think he is the next coming.

"The Mayor" (what a nick) is pushing Williams out the door as though he owns Staples.

I don't know why he as such a hard-on for Williams. The guy is pure nails come playoff time: ice water in his veins, clutch big time on the big stage.

Go away, Mayor.
