  • Xenforo Cloud is upgrading us to version 2.3.11 on Monday July 20, 2026 at 12:00 AM PST. Expect a temporary downtime during this process. More info here
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Dallas fan coming in peace!

Ive seen multiple things like this today, which had me confused with why tomorrow, but apparently Harley has a 4M signing bonus due tomorrow, so maybe?

Harley had a down year, but he's an amazing skater, has a good shot and played his best hockey when Heiskanen was out of the lineup. Heiskanen played on the top PP last year and Dallas sucked 5 vs 5, which didnt help Harleys numbers.

Im undecided on if this trade happens. Werenski obviously makes us better, but he's signed for two more years vs Harleys 8 years. Im scared of how much Werenski's next deal will be worth.

I guess we will see what happens tomorrow
I wouldn't put much stock in that timeline. None of the big guys are suggesting anything is close, and I highly doubt Waddell is going to pull the trigger on a deal he's only begun listening on (and of such important magnitude) in just a few days.

I think it'll be in July but maybe not until middle or late.

I think we're (fans) hoping for these big names as they are a logical fit, but my fear is the known cost for some of these players will outweigh the improvement Z might offer.

Granted, they would have to move salary to fit Z... going to be interesting. I was thinking Bischel and Borque would be a nice start, but the money simply doesn't work so I know that's out. That also would imply Mateychuk world become top pair...

Nah...gotta be Harley...

Bourque isn't going to be that expensive of a contract if he comes here

Dallas probably knows they can offer the best individual piece so im imagining this becoming a game of chicken. Just hope it doesnt linger on an obscene amount of time
This is what's its feeling like

We are trying to extract more side pieces like Hemming but Dallas wants us to take back Lyub so they can make it easier to sign Robertson. Also tomorrow is signing bonus/Bobby Bonilla Day so need to wait for that.

Dang tomorrow is the perfect July 1st hang out in the pool day to listen to FA and its not gonna happen.

I miss 2022...

There may be more urgency than he believes. Teams with a need are not likely going to wait for months to address it in hopes they can get Werenski. And losing bidders just decreases his trade value.
True, but at same time, who is out there that those teams would want to jump on 1st? Carlson? Mayyybe Rasmus?

Ok keep him. Keep them both.

Figure out a trade next summer. We've got two years of control, don't stress trying to find a deal now, especially if he's not waiving.

Yes it will be slightly awkward. So was 2018-19 when we knew Bob and Bread were leaving, and that ended up being a great run.

The idea of a nice return to help turn the team around may be dead sadly then. Knies doesn't impress me, Tampa has nothing to give really besides Moser.
