Buffalo is not a good defensive team either as we see. I would like them to look harder at finding a way to prevent goals via skaters in the near term before re-assessing who is their tandem for next season this summer.

Yeah. Our goalies aren't great -- and we certainly need to do something other than throw Levi to the wolves -- but I think the bigger issue is that we're thin on good defensemen and getting a lot of blue line injuries.

He's just not worth the 1st. A top end draft filled with players that project to have elite careers (coming from the peanut gallery as I personally haven't paid much attention to the draft)

A top end goalie prospect + a prospect who could very well be #1 in the pipeline for a team, is just not worth it for a guy, I do like. Who you never know where he'll be in 3 years.

That's just me. I've been wrong before. Time will tell.
Well, we have already seen how 1st paid for goalies, even for rent. He is not 1st in the top 10, but I think any contender would easily pay 1st+ for him, given that he has already signed a very good contract.

If you are on LinkedIn, I would highly suggest following Pasco if you want to read some solid goalie content.

Anybody follow North Eastern know how Levi has been playing? Seems like his numbers dipped a bit from his great start.

I'm mean, you gotta come right back with UPL in Arizona right? Let him build off the Colorado game.

So we play Saturday, Monday and then not again until Friday and then not again until the Tuesday after.

There's a real case to be made to play Andy Saturday then let him rest a while. UPL can take Monday then Comrie takes Friday.

Craig Anderson truly is underappreciated. He has more career wins then guys like Olaf Kolzig, JS Giguere, Tuukka Rask, Felix Potvin, Mike Richter, Marty Turco, Ron Hextall among many others. Even at his age he is still a top 30 netminder, hell top 20. He needs to play the majority of these last 52 games. I would take him back next year in a heartbeat.

Anderson has said he can't play the majority of the games and he's also said this is his last season.

Husso just got lit up for 5 goals against the Senators. He was a goaltender I would have paid the price to get last summer. 🤷‍♂️

I think he said it comes down to what the wife and kids want for next year, but you can pretty much read that as retiring.

maybe they offer him a position in the organization to stay ? Of course that golf course in the backyard would be my preference.

We do have an entry on the list, but it's a low-cap, short-term one. People on the board (including me) have advocated spending assets to acquire some of them.

I don't know if I can draw much of a conclusion from this except that crummy teams have lousy goaltending. That's no genius-level assessment.

Chicken or egg? Damned if I know.

He is not a top 30 netminder. he wasn't a top 60 netminder last year. He hasn't been an even average starter in years.

He's an average backup who can't play more than a game a week.

Anderson has been much better this year so far, but I fear the regression is coming hard for him.

If Mike Bales has been working hard with UPL then hats off. He is so calm and poised in net right now. If he can continue to develop this way then the Sabres May finally have a bit of promise between the pipes. Long way to go but he has looked the part over his last handful of starts.
