Yeah I get that it's best for them. It's not great for ME however especially looking at the reports of our former players tearing it up after two games. I try to stay away from any NHL info but it's hard to miss on the ESPN site.

No going to lie, I wouldn't mind knowing either.

WE both know the closer they get to anything happening, someone will eventually leak stuff out.

I can guarantee you with about 80% certainty that whatever group Morgan is alluding to doesn't have a viable East Valley arena plan in place. And that is the only thing that will ever bring an NHL team back here.

Not to mention it may or may not be another Canadian led group.. which is why i'm not putting any hope in anything but a Suns/Player15 Group entity being anywhere feasible. It would just be an Ice Edge pt 2.

The Suns are the only group to get this done politically and functionally. We don't need a separate hockey only arena in the valley.

Parsons was who I was hoping would step up but I don't think he's ever shown any desire to own a team.

Strictly my opinion here.....

It started with Glendale when he came in all hard core at the city manager over negotiating a multi-year lease. Glendale terminating the original lease five years earlier didn't help and he was probably aware of that. Also knew the league's view of the city after that happened and figured that was a leverage point for him.

Couple that with what he had done to date with the political class in California and Nevada for years he probably figured Arizona was just like them..... and they simply aren't.

As much as Arizona cities take political jabs at each other, they will always circle the wagons with each other when it comes to someone coming from the outside looking to fight.

Well I don't know..... like most of the last two pages in this thread involve someone bring his name up dropping a f-bomb at him.


And the question was asked what did Meruelo do piss off the political class?
