Merry Christmas everybody! Hope your holiday is a great one. Except flames fans.
it's amazing seeing this tweet and then looking up that he's still a <.900 on the season. Absolutely nuts
No need to " pad the stats" when they're this far ahead of every flames player
.950 is usually good… Unless you’re Stuart Skinner.
Truth.Yep. He could toss 30 shutouts in a row and then have one bad game and people would lynch him

The funny thing is that this is considered a rebound “good” year for Huberdeau. No need to " pad the stats" when they're this far ahead of every flames player View attachment 950157
This would have been a lot funnier if alacrity was a made-up word.He cheats at Scrabble too. I've heard he looks up words in the dictionary. He makes up words there too with alarming alacrity. .
If you are going to discredit a Nick Cousin’s shot.My mistake, you're right, Nick Cousin's is just unbeatable on breakaways.
On an unrelated note - Since 2014 Nick Cousins is 0 for 5 on shootout attempts.
Usually 1GAA is also. Cause that’s what really counts. Actual Goals Against trumps all xGA, save percentage and all that shit. Cause actual goals against is what wins or loses games..950 is usually good… Unless you’re Stuart Skinner.
I think you miss why Skinner is criticized- it’s because the lack of consistency. Of he got 30 shutouts in a row- he would be consistent- and oilers fans would have no problem with him.Yep. He could toss 30 shutouts in a row and then have one bad game and people would lynch him

I agree with this. The last few games have been sloppy.I don't think the Oilers played well in this one by any stretch of the imagination(don't think they've been playing all that well for a few games actually), thankfully Ottawa was much worse. I was almost frustrated on behalf of the Senators with how bad they were at exiting their own zone with possession, the Oilers really should have won this game by 5+ goals considering how many times Ottawa got intercepted and stripped trying to get past their own blueline, that defense just straight up wilts under the slightest forechecking pressure.
Even when they started to play with more desperation in the final 10 minutes, they mostly resorted to attempting hero plays where one guy tries to go through 3 Oiler defenders. One of the easier nights Skinner has had in a while for sure, even when the Sens would cobble together some offensive pressure, they'd miss by miles.
