I have this feeling that his agents were leaking all types of lies just to hide the fact he's 100% signing with the Leafs.
Even got Vesey in on it, talking about how great it would be to play for the B's.
Tryin' to hide the collusion with smoke and mirrors.

If he's not a Leaf.
I'm betting on NYR, NJD, CHI, PITT.

From what I have heard (and honestly have not followed too closely):

-He wants to be on a winning team (or close to being one)
-He wants to play top 6.
-The next contract (after this one) will factor in, so long term outlook is important regarding teams flexibility/cap etc.
-Coach and GM are important factors

I don't think Toronto hits the first point.
I'm not sure Chicago is a stable enough landing spot for point 3.
Montreal loses on point 4

I can't even keep track of all the teams rumoured, but Buffalo seems to make the most sense to me.

Philly is a good landing place considering those criteria as well

Buffalo's as close to Toronto on the first point really and significantly better on 4th

Pittsburgh hits all of those.

1. Just won the Cup (teams is almost entirely intact)
2. We have a big hole on the top line at LW with Crosby and Hornqvist
3. Lots of old farts will be coming of the books in the coming few years (Kunitz, Fleury)
4. Sullivan got rave reviews for his job in righting the ship and obviously has a Cup to his name.

Make good money, playing with Crosby (very likely hypothetical) and be part of a team that is largely intact from a Cup winning run a few months ago.....

The six rumored teams on his list are;
Boston Bruins
Buffalo Sabres
Chicago Blackhawks
New Jersey Devils
New York Rangers
Toronto Maple Leafs

Of those, I see the Rangers or the Blackhawks the likely winner.
He will go to a contending team, where he will get good minutes, but in a protected role, medium media spotlight, and long term commitment. Plus both teams have veterans who can mentor him and help him transition and develop.

You realize he can't talk to teams until tomorrow right?

You realize I said Vesey Day Eve, right?

Tomorrow being Vesey Day, the day he becomes a FA.

Just like...you know, Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Does it really need explaining?

I would be absolutely shocked for Sullivan to play Vesey over Sheary if he were to sign here, seeing how the Penguins won the cup with Sheary playing a big role on the top line. It doesn't matter if Vesey is better than Sheary or not, because Sullivan is much more likely to try his WBS boys on that top line than Vesey. Vesey would probably be the 3rd option for that top line LW spot, after Sheary and Wilson.

on these boards, they are definitely up there for whatever reason.

I think they often get overlooked by fans on here, but I honestly almost never see people hating on the Devils. Fans of every team claim that they are the most hated team on HF.

I read it was 12:00 noon today 8-15.

BOSTON HERALD: Stephen Harris reports Harvard left wing and 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner Jimmy Vesey is finalizing a list of no more than half-a-dozen NHL teams with which he’d like to speak. Vesey’s rights are currently owned by the Buffalo Sabres, but he’s indicated he will become an unrestricted free agent on August 15.
