Like I said if you are trying to establish a new stable as a threat having that stable take an L early is kind of counter intuitive to that. It isn't like Ricky taking that pin is going to hold him back if/when they push him. BC needed that win. None of the faces did.

Jay White is the bigger star and was always going to win the feud. Ricky will either turn out of this and join BCG or they just move him on to a new feud and push him there. Either way him taking the pin tonight isn't going to hamper him in anyway long term. It doesn't matter. I have also heard rumblings that AEW is keeping Ricky in the midcard and is hesitant to push him because the assumption is he is jumping to WWE when his contract is up. Could be complete bullshit though lol

I think Jay is a bigger star period and is a future champion in the not to distant future. Part of that is establishing him as the star he is in this market....but he absolutely is a star. Looks like it, talks like it and wrestles like it.

Commentary. I really like Nigel, I think he's the best that AEW has and it's only been 2 weeks. I would like to like Kevin Kelly... but for f*** sake man, learn to pronounce names.

Juice Robinson is great. Really beginning to love his heel work.

Tanahashi is cooked, that match with Swerve was bad.

Christian continues to be absolute GOLD.

Andrade and HOB had another banger of a match. Always liked Andrade and I hope he continues to be have a spotlight on him.

Hobbs could be a monster if they get him away from QT and make him a serious threat.

Love the mixed crowd with Punk. Love him or hate him, can't say he doesn't get a reaction. Main event was great.

I think it is hilarious though that New Japan fans think Jungle Boy facing Sanada is some great disrespect meanwhile MJF is being tasked with carrying the corpse of Tanahashi through a match on the PPV but that is completely okay. Also NJPW really should not have Tana in the G1 next month the guy is breaking down fast, that might kill him.
