Nice thought but with all those promos of guys going after MJF the world title picture is muddled without adding Swerve.

Letting OC keep the International Championship allows for Swerve to set his sights on that gold. That's my guess anyways if they decide to put Swerve in a title feud unless he enters and wins the tournament.

Swerve has been deserving of some gold for a long time. i am all for it.... but this is just silly. Any belt not named the triple b should be his right now. And then hopefully he gets a story that puts him into the main event picture. The dude really does deserve it, he has LITERALLY everything.
 
I probably would say Hangman has been my favourite AEW wrestler, and I hope he can catapult Swerve to the championship picture after this. I had no idea what any of the build was but watched that PPV Saturday. That was some scene between Swerve and Page.

For those AEW fans in Canada that have Dynamite set up as a weekly recording on their PVR ( yeah - that's what we call them here in Canada aye ) it's airing on TSN5 this Wednesday at its regular time of 8 pm Eastern and then repeated at 1 am Eastern Thursday on TSN2. Next week it's back at it's usual timeslot on TSN2. I'm not sure why the switch this week since TSN2 is just airing a " Best of " and then some " Breaking Down Barriers " shows from 8 pm to 10 pm Eastern so Dynamite is not being moved for any sort of live programming. :dunno:

Any time I see hyperbolic rhetoric comparing AEW to WCW I am going to suggest that person check out the WON full 2000 collection on Kindle and read the WCW TV recaps. People don't truly remember just how awful it really was.

I think the worst is comparing Jericho to Hogan.

Listen, I'm not some WCW expert. It was before my time, but I think Jericho has lost more matches this year than Hogan did his whole career. Dude loses almost to a damning degree.

I have no doubt Jericho means well by putting people over, but who has he really elevated? I'd say Orange Cassidy is the only one who he really elevated. MJF was over way before their program and everyone else did not get a rub.

Jericho does not mean much these days so him losing, well, does not mean much. It is not 2019-2020 anymore where he was booked strong.

You're not wrong, some of those got the rub and did eff-all with it (sammy)...given every chance to build off it and fumbled

I'd have to go back and look at his feuds but I feel like Jericho did everything to elevate most of his opponents...

He sure tried. Maybe he picked the wrong guy, maybe the booking of those guys after the feuds was bad. I do not know.

One thing is clear though, beating Jericho does not mean much these days
